Can't connect to my default gatewaay

Hello everybody!

I have a bridge connection. Whenever I try to connect to my default gateway 192.168.1.254 it displays page not found (for all browsers). What can I do to make a direct connection?

When I try to ping to this IP address, I have a timeout answer.

that implies nothing is at that ip, why do you think its the default gateway?
what does `ip addr` and `ip route` print?
