There was an article on that in the MagPi magazine issue #26. There'll be a follow-on article to that in issue #28.

When I go to download the addon it says Incompatible

Which add-on? The PBX or the soft phone?piman2000 wrote:When I go to download the addon it says Incompatible
The PBX add-on is NOT a PBX running on the RPi. The add-on is an interface into an Asterisk type PBX running elsewhere on the network.

Ok, I do not know what I am talking about. I was talking about the PBX plugin. Now another question... How From Scratch Do I Set up a asterisk server? And how do I get the app to let me download it?

Setup up Asterisk on a RPi or a PC?piman2000 wrote:Ok, I do not know what I am talking about. I was talking about the PBX plugin. Now another question... How From Scratch Do I Set up a asterisk server? And how do I get the app to let me download it?
In either case it is really best on a dedicated machine. For the RPi, have a look at raspberry-asterisk.org. For a PC have a look at nerdvittles.com for FreePBX.
There can be quite a steep learning curve for first timers!
