Making a bootable copy of a running SD card

I think I know the answer to this question, but I haven't seen it spelled out so I'm hoping someone will help me with the answer in a pretty simple repeatable form. Have a raspi up and running, configured exactly how I want and everything is working great. I live in the lightening capitol of the US,...

Sorry weird lockup

However w. The new distro raspberry pi is, it displays perfectly fine

I'm feeling it's a refresh issue but can't understand why or how to fix it.

Any and all ideas appreciated

USB Speed and load on RPI4 w/ External HD's

Team, I believe I know the answer, but things progress daily, so I want to check. I have some media files on external USB Hard drives. In order to 'organize them' I drafted a headless RPI4 and VNC and things seem to be working as expected. BUT we all want better right? Right now, for example, I have...

WOW, Your 2020 build is exceedingly fast, that would be interesting compared to some others. I can see that you lean towards the treads as opposed to individual wheels, is that based on something you have found through experience or you prefer the felxibility or just find that it moves better with t...

Re: Max micro SD card size

Dry Thanks for the info on the raspi4. But I really was wan wanting to know in a general way. Some SBC s advertise a specific size and some don't. Or for example the infamous dfplayer mp3 module, I've never gotten it to read anything bigger than 32gb As for the 'cheap' SD cards trust me I've bought ...

Re: Pi tablet using Android tablet (no, not the same old question)

in ref to the pine tab it IS a great idea, but understand there is no standardized build/os for the tablet they started w/ ubu touch and jumped to morphin, I use mandriva on mine and its a really great device if they just had an os that worked all the time. As far as odering goes, they have a cycle ...

Wireless, surface less controllers

I've seen a few projects about getting a hi performance 7" screen and placing a strap in it, mounting a pi4 to the back and booting a regular desktop os.

But then you need a mouse\controller of some kind

So maybe the kano wand kit?

Anyone use one?
