Re: STICKY - How to upgrade a Buster image to Bullseye

I already had a 64-bit version of buster installed on an external SSD drive. I had to run this command to upgrade the compiler parts: sudo apt install libsdl2-2.0-0 libc6-dev libibus-1.0-dev libsdl2-dev libgcc-8-dev gcc-8-base to resolve all of the dependencies before doing: sudo apt install full-up...

Rebooting from USB says, "SD: card detected"

There is no SD card in the slot. The only way to get it to boot is to remove the power then it starts normally. Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - 4GB bootloader: C3f26b60 Dec 11 2020 update-ts: 1607738173 board: c03I11 23126552 dc:a6:32:1a:ad:79 boot: mode USB-MSD 4 order f41 retry 0/128 restart 0/-1 SD: ca...

Re: SD Card permanently locked

I ended up with a 32GB SD card in this condition when I accidentally rebooted the Pi during an "sudo apt upgrade". There is nothing I have been able to do to write to the card to fix the problem.

Re: USB serial communication with Roboteq sdc 2130

No, it isn't. The device /dev/ttyACM0 is created automatically when something is plugged into the USB port that supports serial communications. For example, I use it to communicate with a Trinamic Steprocker: var SerialPort = require('serialport'); // 01 04 01 00 00 00 19 64 83 MVP rel, 0, 6500 var ...

Re: That PI2 unboxing: Unmistakable Odor of fried circuitry?

I received my Pi 2 yesterday and even though it works just fine it smells strongly burned. This smell was before I even switched it on.

Re: RasPi power usage measurements ALL Models

My interest is in using the Pi B+ as an off-the-grid web server. With that aim I don't even need the HDMI connection, only the ethernet and the power is being supplied by a solar-powered battery charger (50000 mAh [claimed] and 1.5W charging from the solar panel). Any idea how much power the Pi uses...
