I've got an ssd1306 oled and ili9341 working in micropython, and the ili9341 working in c.
Hi
It would be great if you could share the code.

Re: Connecting 1.8 TFT Screen to Raspberry Pi Pico

I created a simple program to help demonstrate using a TFT display and a neopixel display. I have attached a diagram as well. Cheers! # python pyboard.py --device COM6 -f cp main.py : import array import time import rp2 # from machine import Pin, SoftI2C, PWM # from ssd1306 import SSD1306_I2C from ...

Re: MG995 Servo motor with Pico

Below is a basic servo library that will show you the principles, put it in a file called servo.py, and then you can import it and use it. Works with the sg90 servo. from servo import Servo pwmPin=0 #change for your pin motor=Servo(pwmPin) motor.move(45) # move to 45 degrees Hi, I am trying to get ...

Amazing - I’ll give that a go later.
Out of interest, how do you generator the hex arrays for the various screens?

Re: SSD1306

Hi, the sdk is available from here : https://datasheets.raspberrypi.org/pico/raspberry-pi-pico-python-sdk.pdf From there, it has links to the library. You'll need to create it as a file called ssd1306.py and transfer it to the pico in the usual way - I suspect it needs to be in the same place/folder...

Just to confirm, cheap (£3.50) SSD1306's from eBay are working with the sample code from the pico python SDK :

Re: Phantom button Values

Actually I’m struggling to find too many examples of people successfully using buttons with a pico running micropython. Pimoroni actually has you load a custom file to your board so I don’t think they count. It’s their branch. -Does anyone else have the pico attached to buttons and can you share yo...

Re: Phantom button Values

Try this, then you can be sure it's running, communicating with the IDE or whatever - import machine import utime button = machine.Pin(19, machine.Pin.IN, machine.Pin.PULL_DOWN) while True: if button.value() == 1: print("You pressed the button!") else: print("No push") utime.sle...

"I'd like to use MicroPython on the Pico to communicate (bidirectionally) with a Python program ..." I've been looking at similar but so far found very little information. How do you get the Pico to receive ?, How do you read the analog inputs etc ? Is the a reference document for the mic...

Re: Controlling a bench PSU

What do you mean by serial? I've used a Pi with a GPIB adapter for test equipment including PSUs and a different Pi to talk Modbus over RS485 for industrial equipment including some big PSUs. Nothing particularly special in either situation though. Read manuals to find out what knobs you need to tw...

Hi,
anyone have any experience of controlling an industrial bench PSU via its serial port with a Pi, or seen examples on the net ?

Re: Can't control LED strip?

Hi,
we assume you have enough current to draw all the LED's - how long is the strip, how many LED's, what is the rating of the +5V PSU?
Are you driving the LED's from the same rail as you are powering the Pi (bad practice :o )

Hi,
no - you can 'give' it 100 amps and it will only take the current it needs. Voltage is another matter however.

Can anyone help me? It might help if you specify what Operating System is running on your RPi. It seems you are running this script in a python virtual environment (venv) Is the standard picamera module accessible from that environment? To check, within that venv, just start the Python3 interpreter...
