Re: Netflix on Chromium v84 working! (Chromium Media Edition)

That's not entirely true. Setting up a user-agent was the easy part. The hard part for me was finding a Widevine library for Chromium, then making Chromium detect and enable the Widevine library. Without that, Widevine DRM doesn't work at all, no matter what user-agent you use. In the past, before ...

Re: Netflix on Chromium v84 working! (Chromium Media Edition)

Will try "stock" Chromium with a spoofed UA and see what I get. In my copious free time I will try and see what the intersection of Canadian law and Netflixs TOS results in. Not sure if they can enforce controlling what device you choose to watch on, assuming you have a legal, paid for ac...

Re: Netflix on Chromium v84 working! (Chromium Media Edition)

This version seems to down grade the video to 720p (from 1080) and seems to have some artifacting. It does play so we are one step closer to having Netflix support in the mainline Chromium. Chromium Media Edition plays at 1080 without any artifacting. This is using the same Pi, same Netflix's accou...

Re: Netflix on Chromium v84 working! (Chromium Media Edition)

This works even with Spotify without using the widevine user agent short cut after installing pi apps widevine. Also can attest this works perfect with tubitv.com (ie on a non overclocked raspberry pi 2B 1.1 with official pi touch screen) excluding a few shows that just don’t work on browser because...

Google or amazon “smarti pi touch” 1 or 2 Model 1 works on b models before pi4 Model 2 works on all b models up to pi4 even has a fan system. They have some options with easy to remove back. Ie it just clips on or off like a door. Stay away from the “smarti pi pro” it has closed back with screws Sma...

Re: Vlc video official screen not fit on full screen

I had this issue too. It has to do with VLC window properties settings in video settings. This is because default is native video resolution of the video. And most desktops with bigger screen scale it up rather then down. Follow the directions below by changing a setting in VLC: Go into VLC in deskt...

Onboard works best for me. The themes are nice and it works great on Pi2 1.1 with official screen.

But word of warning anything that says required Ubuntu accessibility stuff do not mess with it or it will break the whole install. I had to re image my pi to revert it.

Re: Google Play Music Works on Raspbian Chromium.

My Rory Gallagher's discography is not uploading from my pi... Blame on you Google Music. I find that uploading music even on a regular pc takes up a lot of CPU power. So I wouldn't recommend uploading music using a Pi. It would cause the Pi probably to freeze up due to the ram limitation. I find t...

Hi all as a update on how things are going with this cool password setup for sudo. Update google music is dead. Go try YouTube music or YouTube HTTPS://music.YouTube.com It doesn’t even require a account to listen to music free! [*]This is probably common knowledge. Google play music works on Raspbian Chromium. Just log into your account and stream. The website has full html5 sup...

The most important thing has not been mentioned here, yet: Change your sudo settings so that sudo requires a password. If you a are successfully attacked by an exploit (web page, flash etc), the attacker will not able to modify your root file system if sudo requires a password. In more than 10 year...
