Re: No Second Monitor with Bullseye

Have you tried under preferences, screen configuration? Also right click on desktop to bring up Desktop Preferences. Hope this helps.

Bullseye Screen Configuration side by side but not top / bottom

Bullseye Screen Configuration allows side by side dual monitors but not top / bottom. Have great two monitor set up of 4B 8GB but now confusing because physically fixed above each other. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Chromecast a non-monitor

Hoping this might help others too. Interested in Chromecasting a non existent monitor. I have two HDMI monitors connected to a RPI 4 8gb. You can Chromecast only one of the monitors. Was thinking it might be cool to expand my desktop even more to Chromecast it so would have three monitors worth of d...

Switching between USB ssd and microSD boot

Been running a pi4 8gb as a desktop for quite sometime. Typically boot off usb ssd but was testing some os options on the microsd with usb ssd removed. Afterwards removing the microsd and plugging the usb ssd back in the boot would fail. I had to plug the usb ssd into a different usb socket (always ...

Re: Reset Wireless & Wired Network Setting

Yes, did apt full-upgrade and no updates logged. New issue. Wifi icon is jumping into Ethernet up down arrows, except not wired. And slows to a crawl. Might be time to reinstall "Raspberry Pi OS with desktop", but really like the setup that I've been using as desktop for 6 months. energyi

Re: Reset Wireless & Wired Network Setting

Thanks for the follow up questioning. Maybe my answer will help others too. Was still having speed challenges with existing wifi nodes. Then did sudo apt update and upgrade and then connected to a different wifi node that was 5G. Its not that the 5G is faster, but that it was a new connection, and t...

Following up. I had to comment out the # on
static ip_address=192.168.0.MYNUMBERS
static routers=192.168.0.1
static domain_name_servers=192.168.0.1

And it worked. Thanks.

Reset Wireless & Wired Network Setting

Please help if able. My Rpi4 using Raspberry Pi OS with desktop. Somehow might have messed up my "Wireless & Wired Network Setting". Other computers on wifi work. Rpi4 can connect to wifi, but browsers don't work. ping raspberrypi.loal returns "64 bytes from 0.0.0.192" so it ...

Re: i wish ATX cases exists for the raspberry pi

The last case I purchased was one for a Rpi4 and a DAC hat. I'm quite sure it didn't exist until I make the purchase, then it was printed and shipped for $11. Excellent case, and how I see things evolving. If you want a specific kind of case, look around to see if anyone has a 3D design, and if you ...

Re: thinkorswim java error

dowload most recent JNA file from here: https://github.com/java-native-access/jna

rename it to the name in the gui folder of TOS

move into most recent TOS usergui folder

You have to do this periodically, like every week when TOS is updated.
