Display Hours:Minutes:Seconds on status bar

Simple question (probably should have posted this in Beginners but wasn't sure)

Raspberry Pi OS displays HOUR:MINUTE on the right side of the status/task bar. Is there a way to add :SECOND to the display?

Thanks!

Re: Raspberry Pi Kit Giveway August 6th!

Hello, ejolson. The only way to register for the giveaway is the process described in the original post. As indicated by jamesh, you must have a YouTube account (moniker) to participate in the drawing because we will call you out by your YT moniker during the AMA and you must reply in the YT chat. H...

Re: Do you need help setting up a scanner feed?

Hi, Don. Rather than make someone contact you (or multiple individuals), why not write up your experiences, what you learned and a general tutorial on to set up the scanner feed? Many can be served over a long period of time instead of one-at-a-time contacts. You can post it on RPi forums or a zilli...

Note - I'm very new at Python so what follows may be inelegant and there is likely a better way but here is another approach. This is a snippet of code that I have borrowed from Jason Mann and updated to work with the current version of RPiOS: Modified - hostip.py from Jason Mann github at: https://...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero 3 Port USB Hub - No connector

Sorry for resurrecting an old post but. . . I bought a pair of these HubPiWi Blue units a couple of years ago. At that time, I had accumulated a bunch of Pi Zeros and this looked like an easy tool to use for installs. In the ensuing years, I did everything on 2s, 3s and 4s. But this week, I dusted o...

Hello jbudd, I have a weekly AMA on YouTube featuring the Pi. Every week, we explore how to use the Pi as a learning tool to prepare for various CompTIA certifications, we use WireShark on Pis to explore protocols and process, we install productivity tools and even just some fun tools. This Friday (...

Hot swappable is the term applied to devices that can safely connect or disconnect to a host while power is applied. Plug and play is the term that describes a host's ability to detect and support/use (load drivers, load default configuration, etc.) a device without being hard or soft booted. The tw...

Re: How to Pull files from PC to RPI and Push files from to RPI

Couple choices: 1) Set up ftp services on both boxes and enable anonymous ftp. Use cron jobs on the PI to accomplish both of your push and pull tasks. 2) Set up tftp servers on both boxes and use cron jobs same way as above. Yes, there are security issues but if both boxes are behind the same NAT ro...

As someone in the states and since we still use Fahrenheit, it would be nice to have this support via raspi-config (display celsius or fahrenheit) versus a single setting. A better option would be for you to shout at your Government until they drop the use of Imperial and American units and start u...

Also, you shouldn't be able to install Arch,
I think you mean "should" :?:
That's right. Had a bit of a Trump moment, sorry.
Seriously? This is permissible? May I take political potshots at Mrs. May, as well?
