[SOLVED] Motion Eye OS - Zero 2W compatibility

The supported devices page of the project on Github does not mention Zero 2W yet but I was wondering if anyone could be able to run it on Zero 2W unoficially yet. If so, how?

Any tips, guides would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pico hangs after a while when it's connected to I2C accelerometer

I've been trying to learn Pico and MicroPython through some projects I imagined and one of them was digital spirit level with 2x 10 segment LEDs and ADXL345 accelerometer. I posted this here because ADXL 345 uses I2C interface. Here's how it looks I followed this source to connect my ADXL 345 to Pic...

Re: Plans for USB HID support?

Fantastic work. Is it possible to get the working version as an UF2 file to flash directly to Pico? I'm on Windows and I have no means of compiling so I'd appreciate if you guys can give me a UF2 file with USB HID feature implemented.

Hey there, I'm trying to modify and combine two examples of gpiozero library. The examples in question are taken from gipozero documentation website. Need a method to read Serial coming from an Arduino

Hey there ladies and gents, I've an Arduino connected to Pi via USB and trying to read and split the values it is sending via Serial interface. This is my Arduino code: boolean right_sensor; boolean left_sensor; int spin=0; void setup() { pinMode(5,INPUT); pinMode(6,INPUT); pinMode(4,INPUT); Serial....

Re: Accessing variables outside the function

I now know why i got those erratic numbers. Because in my while true loop there's already an x varible. So it was reading that x instead. Now I changed "x" to "lol" def pushed_left(event): global lol if event.action != ACTION_RELEASED: lol +=1 print(lol) def pushed_right(event): ...

Re: Accessing variables outside the function

It's probably not possible for us to figure this out for you because the code you posted 'conjured up' a sense instance from nowhere and you didn't mention any error messages from that. i.e. I very much suspect that there is some previous code that is causing or contributing to the problem - to do ...

Add "global renk" to the start of do_thing()
You mean like this?

Code: Select all

def do_thing(event):
    global renk
Then I get error:

Code: Select all

  File "/home/pi/Desktop/velespit.py", line 22, in do_thing
    renk = renk -1
NameError: name 'renk' is not defined

Accessing variables outside the function

I want to be able to change variables that are defined outside any function. Because later I will need to access whatever value that varilable holds. But so far I keep getting error: local variable 'renk' referenced before assignment. What I'm trying here is incrementing the variable "renk"...

Re: Arduino Nano refuses to upload sketches when run on Raspberry Pi 4

Problem solved guys. It was all because of ancient Arduino IDE on debian repositories. Make sure you download most up to date Arduino IDE from Arduino's website and install that manually. My Nano works now!

Re: Arduino Nano refuses to upload sketches when run on Raspberry Pi 4

Forget the Arduino junk in the DebIan/RaspiOS repo. It's so far out of date it's unusable. Get the ARM 32 version from https://www.arduino.cc/download_handler.php?f=/arduino-1.8.13-linuxarm.tar.xz and replace the junk with that. Can you tell me how to set it up? I downloaded tar.xz from the source....

Washing hands? Don't touch your phone for 20 secs countdown, use sense hat!

I decided to create this when I saw some people were washing their hands by using their phones as stopwatch. This eliminates the reason to touch your phone unnecessarily when your hands are dirty. This circuit senses your hands and starts countdown automatically and waves you goodbye with a good adv...
