GeoListPlot Mathematica 12.2 issue

Update: Wolfram has now acknowledged the bug is real. They were very helpful and it appears to only apply to version 12.2.0.0 which is the current Raspberry Pi repository version. I have a code that has worked for years in Mathematica until the latest update, to 12.2. {hdr, data} = TakeDrop[Import[...

GeoListPlot Mathematica 12.2 issue (bug confirmed)

This bug has been confirmed by Wolfram. It apparently does not occur in 12.3.1. Posted on Programming/Other Languages/Mathematica I have a code that has worked for years in Mathematica until the latest update, to 12.2. {hdr, data} = TakeDrop[Import["/home/pi/Documents/Sailing/2021-06-24-latlon...

BerryLan probably solves this problem, though not totally automatically. It allows you to use your phone to connect to a WiFi network.

Re: Power through GPIB

I actually wrote a lot of code for GPIB devices, and it is an IEEE standard that makes the Pi look pretty easy.

Re: Power through GPIB

@rickticktock is right about the GPIB vs GPIO nomenclature, but I too have used GPIO pins to power a pi with no problems. I cut the connector off a usb power supply and soldered the right lines directly to the pins. This was required to fit within the application box, and it has performed just fine ...

Re: How to connect (throught SSH) to the Pi throught mobile phone

I use WebSSH but only on my local LAN. It is loaded on my phone (and iPad) and I connect through the house LAN WiFi. Editing is no problem as it does have a control key emulated. A relatively inexpensive app.

You need to set up the mailer initialization in your home folder. Below is a typical initialization for gmail accounts. nano .mailrc set smtp-use-starttls set ssl-verify=ignore set smtp=smtp://smtp.gmail.com:587 set smtp-auth=login set smtp-auth-user="yourmail@gmail.com" set smtp-auth-pass...

Maybe try resetting/rebooting your router and see if that works.

Re: Rpi 4 Wifi issue

Yes, the country code could be the problem as well. Did you set it in localization options through raspi-config?

I generally put a working copy of wpa_supplicant.conf in the boot partition of a new SD image to avoid worrying about the configuration setup, but I think this only works on first boot.

Re: Rpi 4 Wifi issue

It should work just fine on either 2.4 or 5 GHz bands. Your most likely problem is a typo in the SSID or password so try going to the wireless icon and selecting the desired SSID and reentering the password. If you don't see the network at all, I would suspect a defective Raspberry Pi.

Re: Fan Power

I need all the available USB ports for other things, I am currently using jumper wires to some of the GPIO power pins and just hoped there was somewhere else on the board I could install a few header pins to free up the GPIO.

Fan Power

Is there anywhere other than the GPIO pins that could conveniently provide power for a fan for a Raspberry Pi Model 4 B?

That worked great, though installing via the add/remove programs applet did not, nor did a direct install via the HPLIP website.

Thanks!

[SOLVED] HPLIP for Buster

Has anyone succeeded in getting HPLIP working in Buster? Their standard install fails, I think because of some slight differences in names of modules in the QT4 and QT5 series. The current version of HPLIP claims not to support Debian 10.1, only 10.0, but it didn't work even when we were at version ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Well, I think you should copy anything you want off the Stretch installation, and then start with a fresh Buster install. I did that and the software works fine. Then you can copy things back over. You can't upgrade Stretch to Buster because the /boot partition is a much larger size on Buster and yo...

Re: STICKY: Raspbian 'Buster' 2019-06-20 / 07-10

This isn't quite a bug... In order to fulfill being a desktop computer replacement, printing is required. I've been using HPLIP on my 3+ quite successfully to use our wireless HP printer, but the add/remove software HPLIP doesn't support Buster (Version 3.18.12). HPLIP has now released a version tha...
