Re: multiple IO with i2ctransfer not working

Hi Phil,
I think i accept the 14% speed degradation. I've hoped to gain much more efficency with i2c_xfer.
Thank you very much for your valuable support.

Re: multiple IO with i2ctransfer not working

just wrote a test, reading 4 sensors with I2C single iO (one sensor after another with single IOs) and all 4 sensors with one single I2C_xfer function. I did this in a loop with 10000 iterations each. i2c_xfer is 14% faster. I2C_bus_WrRd Time:3763ms I2C single IO test: 0x065D I2C single IO test: 0x0...

in the i2c-bcm2708.c there is not such a check, that assures that the last msg has a read flag 'I2C_M_RD'

hi trejan,
the default state for each of the 10 pwm channels is 50% pwm. connectjed LEDs... or the fan will start immediatly to function after SupplyVoltage is supplied.

Re: need generic spi overlay for spi.1

Hi phil,
I have a fan for cpu cooling hooked up on one pwm channel of the MAX6966.
I don't want to write a driver for it. Just use a generic spi overlay to control that channel.

I want to set all channel to 0 with an generic spi overlay. How can I do this? dtoverlay=spi_generic,adr=0x01,seq...

Hi,
I want to test a program under throttled (600Mhz) condition.
Is there a command or a config entry, where I can force rpi4/3 to throttle?

Re: generic SPI overlay

is there really no generic overlay for spi?
I want to set some registers of a spi device to certain values at startup (as earyl as possible).
The spi chip has no existing overlay.

using bgr in config.txt makes no difference. red pixels apear blue and blue pixels apear red. Re: new kernel regression with fbtft

pixerartefacts are gone, if we use rotate=0 in .dts
and if we do the rotation on application level e.g. gfx library and in cmdline.txt for fbcon.
