Re: Bullseye - Comments and bug reports thread.

Youtube playback is a joke, the video stops and starts constantly. There is a general, noticeable, lag between clicking/typing before anything happens. I've gone back to using buster, because bullseye is unusable in its present state. Given the choice between 'open sauce' and 'usable', I'd go with u...

Re: Bullseye - Comments and bug reports thread.

I have my taskbar at the bottom of the screen, and when you click the raspberry, the popup menu pops up, but it pops up one item too low, i.e. you can't click the raspberry again to close the menu, an accidental double click activates the shutdown. This is unlike previous versions, where the menu po...

it'll be at the top where it says window manager = mutter, just change to openbox

i can't give exact directions cause i'm on a custom install, not raspberry.
Splendid, that sorted it.
Thank you very much.

I installed the latest bullseye, but I have lost the ability to undecorate windows, a right click on the titlebar does nothing in this version. How can I enable the right click on the titlebar menu? Thanks the new window manager(mutter) does not have that, you can switch back to openbox in the desk...

Re: How to setup any version of Minecraft on Pi4

I was 'upgraded', which means that I now have to log in using my hotmale credentials instead of my mojang credentials. Pretty pointless tbh, all that has been achieved is that I can no longer play using my pi4 because the launcher only does mojang credentials. :( It is a shame you can't still play m...

Re: Python Code for RPM-measurement with Raspberry Pi

Use an arduino or a pico to do the counting, and pass the values to the pi over the serial port for further processing. The pi is busy running other stuff, and is not real-time enough for your application. But it will format and display/log the info sent to it by a £3 microcontroller, and 50 other j...

Latest Chromium is broke

I don't know what happened to the latest chromium, but it no longer accepts utf-8 cyrillic input, and that's after you've opened a new tab because it now refuses to let me paste a new url into an already used, open tab. Is this something that everyone bar me knows about? And is it possible to go bac...

I'm using a PI4 as a desktop computer. I can use libreoffice and vlc and chromium, all of which work remarkably well. Re: RPi4 freezes after last (today) update

I did not experience the "black screen" and crashes, but saw quite a lot of GPU related error messages (buffering problems) in dmesg. So I installed the latest version (apt) containing the firmware fixes this morning, rebooted and checked with dmesg. No GPU related errors so far, but a lo...

I've raised the GPU memory to 128 using raspi-config. It was set at 64, which must be the default because I have had no cause to change it in the past. Now I'll wait to see if it cures the problem.
