Re: FydeOS v13 update for Raspberry Pi 400/4B

Any possibility of 3B+ ( working ) version ?
The new version ( 400/4B) is great on 4B ,
but gives me a blank screen on 3B+ ... the
earlier versions (3B+) has video, but some
sync is gone (horizontal stripes) ( after the
initial splash screen shows OK ......

Nowbody knows where you got that kit+uSD from.

You can also use Raspberry Pi imager on your Pi400 (sudo apt install rpi-imager).
The kits aren ' t put together at the factory ?

Whatever the problem was , it ' s fine now .
I may get another for my laboratory .

Re: 400 vs 4 ' image '

Anyways : As I see it now : New 400 ( Kit ( with supplied SD ) ) @ first boot the update took much longer than with 4 B When I saw the excess software I thought the update had downloaded it . WRONG The extra time was the updating of the extra software already there . When I tried to image ( with a s...

Re: 400 vs 4 ' image '

... I surmise the included 16G ( with all recommended software ) is too full to work right ? Maybe leave the recommended software off the included SD ? Wrong. A 16GB SDCard is big enough for the full Raspberry Pi OS. As for the "included SD", where did you get your kit? Was it the officia...

https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/operating-systems/#raspberry-pi-os-32-bit You want plain "RaspiOS 32 with desktop", you don't need "RaspiOS 32 with desktop and recommended software". The RaspberryPi Software Imager will let you choose that. Thank You .... O.K. now ..... Mad...

400 vs 4 ' image '

I just got a 400 . I noticed that initial ' updating ' took way longer than with fresh Buster on 4 . I see now it is because the image has all of the extra apps ( libre office et. al. ) installed . ( As opposed to the image the ' imager ' downloads on a 4 ) I just tried the imager with the 400 , and...

I'd send frequency values over the serial port and have the Micropython/Circuitpython
code parse that and make changes to the output frequency .
Me too ( maybe ? ) ..... If I had a clue how : )

Using the keyboard arrow keys to adjust a frequency ouput from the Pico .
