Re: Login failures happening again

I saw this as well the last days several times.
What helped was to just try a 2nd or 3rd time (I knew Firefox credentials were good).
Just have seen this again, this the the 5th try did let me in.
Definitely something wrong with forums.raspberry.com because reported by multiple people.

Re: Trying to disable Wayland

wf-recorder really works well. Just 3Dprinting with 15% infill. After Prusa MINI+ firmware upgrade and with PrusaSlicer with input shaper the 3Dprinter became really fast: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/702573/ I used wf-recorder to record part of octoprint control tab scene camera preview. ...

For personal travel I wanted a cheap laptop. Searched on German amazon for laptop, condition new and sorted by price low to high. The first with 15.6" looked interesting, for only 160€(170$): AOCWEI 15.6" 6GB RAM ... I ordered to try out and find a reason for returning it if necessary, whi...

Re: best camera for microscope

You can use a camera for multiple purposes. Please see GS link in my signature, it is the only Raspberry camera allowing for >300fps video capturing. If you cannot find a killer argument for HQ camera I would go with GS (I have two of them).

Re: best camera for microscope

Whatever camera you go with, you might want to use a wide angel lens mounted reversed as macro lens (I learned that on this forum): https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=210605&start=75#p1674471 You will get down to 0.2µm/pixel, with 1456 pixels horizontally that is 291.2µm or 0.2912mm ...

Thanks, I did try that. After "sudo swapoff -a" all swap memory disappeared. But "sudo swapon -a" did not add more swap memory. So I rebooted, and now top shows 2GB swap. MiB Swap: 2048.0 total, 2048.0 free, 0.0 used. 2977.0 avail Mem Seeing chromium-browser using 32.6g virtual m...

Raspberry Pi5 (4GB) freezes twice a week, due to too may browser tabs

This happens since months, on average twice a week. I use my Pi5 all day and parts of night, 7 days a week; with multi days uptime (weeks only if no freeze happens). Either too many tabs in chromium browsers, or few tabs in chromium and starting firefox in addition. I tried to ssh into Pi5 from lapt...

Have there been any recent rumours of the official NVMe hat?
I found no rumors, read somewhere end of April, and that was too late for me after complete SDcard loss
So I bought the Pimoroni board instead, and it works well.

Do you happen to have software that can subtract two video streams from two cameras using libcamera-vid? I can only show how my i420toh264 method can to that. pi@raspberrypi5:~ $ rpicam-vid --help | grep yuv --codec arg (=h264) Set the codec to use, either h264, libav, mjpeg or yuv420 pi@raspberryp...

So I achieved synchronized camera capture, but only using libcamera-vid. That is good, and I always worked with libcamera-vid tools only (or legacy raspiraw). Do you have any suggestions on how I can achieve this while keeping the cameras synchronized? Not for picamera/picamera2 — but surely other ...

It is advisable to try with libcamera- or rpicam- tools first. But what do you think "framerate" should do for still capture? It has meaning only with "...-vid" tools, search for "framerate" and you will not find it for "...-still": https://www.raspberrypi.com...
