crontab command to run python script not working

I have a python script which I have run successfully so i know it works. I decided to add it to my crontab like so:

@reboot python3 /home/mkzero/envirophat1.py &

But I tested it today and it did not work. What could be happening?

Re: Raspberry PI zero not getting ip address from network

Re: Raspberry PI zero not getting ip address from network

Thanks, I got to know less and it’s very useful indeed! Here are the important screenshots I got. In the first one if clearly recognizes the sun device as a network adapter. It’s tplink brand but probably Realtek chip. In the next 2 I see exception errors trending at around 1228 seconds related to r...

Re: Raspberry PI zero not getting ip address from network

I was running raspios lite up until the last post when I switched to the gui desktop version in order to try using the visual set up but that didn’t work either.

I’m using a rpi0 with a tp link usb dongle.

I have tried starting fresh 2x now.

Re: Raspberry PI zero not getting ip address from network

Yes that it what I was doing. I was doing either interfaces or dhcpcd by commenting everything out in one or the other. I understand what you mean by only using one. And I did but nothing worked. Then I deleted all but the first 3 lines on interfaces and left dhcpcd as it was and rebooted with a pow...

Re: Raspberry PI zero not getting ip address from network

Ok so I look at man interfaces and based on the example I did this in interfaces: source /etc/network/interfaces.d/* auto lo iface lo inet loopback allow-hotplug wlan0 iface wlan0 inet dhcp wpa-conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf and I commented out the static ip parameters for wlan0 interf...

How to identify rpi0 sd card

Hi I have a bunch of sd cards and I don’t know if they are from rpi 3, rpi 2 or rpi0. I have one that has written on the back "Pixel RPI3" and it matches because it has desktop files I remember we’re on mi rpi3, when I put it in the rpi0. I have a second one that has "Pixel" writ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 disabled wifi and cannot enable it

Well ever since i installed my rpi my etc/network/interfaces has pretty much always been this: # interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8) # Please note that this file is written to be used with dhcpcd # For static IP, consult /etc/dhcpcd.conf and 'man dhcpcd.conf' # Include files from /etc/n...

Re: Moving zip files in raspberry pi

Yes I need to move that zip file into custom_components and then unzip it in there. Ok I created a file in nano called test, in the config/ folder, then tried moving it to custom_components and it disappeared. Ok, i had to be using /config/custom_components instead of just /custom_components I guess...

I have a rpi with hassio on it. I moved a zip file from my mac into the rpi over scp: scp file.zip user@ip:/config and the file moved over just fine. Then I moved it to another directory which is where i need it: mv file.zip /custom_components and when I went into custom_components, the file was not...

I won't lie to you. It's possible I haven't. I actually thought it might be a DST issue. Can I check that via the terminal?

So it defaults to its local. But i know if i reboot this rpi, itll ask for a lease and get one.
