That doesn't address why both the ZeroW at US$10 and the Zero2W at US$15 are reportedly being sold at the same price by that retailer.

Exactly!

Raspberry Pi Zero in Australia

Are retailers asked to use reasonable pricing? This retailer (raspberry.piaustralia.com.au) is selling the Zero W and Zero 2 at the same price (22.95 AUD). According to current conversion rates, 10 USD is 13.26 AUD and 15 USD is 19.89 AUD. Therefore they are making $9.69 AUD on the product. Assuming...

Feasibility of a CM4 carrier in Classic Pi format?

Is is possible to make a CM4 carrier that has the exact same form factor as a Pi B+/2B/3B? I think this would be good if it was possible because there are many kits such as the Pi-Top that are designed around a previous version and it would be nice to upgrade them with the power of a CM4.

KVM Acceleration on Raspberry Pi OS 32-bit with 64-bit kernel.

Is this possible? I am running the latest 32 bit build but with the 64 bit kernel enabled on my 4GB Pi4. I installed virt-manager, libvirt0 and qemu-system. /dev/kvm is present but Qemu complain when I try to use --enable-kvm, it tells me qemu-system-aarch64: -machine accel=kvm: No accelerator found...

Re: Writing an OS from scratch

Not trying to be discouraging, but I agree with Dougie. Writing an OS is incredibly complex and time consuming. Most operating systems you know like Linux and BSD were not made by one person. That one person wrote a small, but good piece of code that others liked and improved. Not to mention the com...

Does overclocking reduce memory and IO performance on Raspberry Pi 4?

In the ESXI-Arm installation manual, it states: "Note: do not overclock. Not only are you compromising stability, but memory and I/O performance may suffer up to 2x." Is this true and if so, why?

Just a thought - have you tried running android on your pi 4 (it should be decently fast) then using the ps4 remote play app on android on your pi4?

So what can I do if I want to power it from my MacBook pro charger? Use a cheap cable that is not "e-marked" or is there some funny solution I need. I think that will work. Or just use the official charger, it's not expensive, and you be able to charge your Macbook whilst using the Pi. By...

It works, just don't get caught as it breaks FCC certification and is thus illegal / not allowed to be discussed here.

Ooh, I'm highly interested in this custom board, thanks for posting about it.
It's essentially exactly what I did to my Pi3b, just a lot neater.
You're welcome. I thought some people would be interested in it.

Re: Liquid Cooling

Cooling down silicon will make it switch slower, not faster! Cooling should just be used to keep the silicon from overheating and burning up, to extend its life cycle. That said, the PI 3 is perhaps the only PI that may benefit from a small heat sink, it dissipates a far amount of energy when runni...
