Re: [Solved] Yet another No HDMI Sound after upgrade (Buster)

Unfortunately, I have the same problem. After updating the system (Pi3 and Pi3+) it seems that I no longer have sound on HDMI. According to Raspberry Pi OS everything works perfectly, Under pavucontrol I can even see that the peak meter works as well. Can this be related to the bug Cloudcentric was ...

Re: Pulseaudio & ssh

OK, after spending hours yesterday looking for the right solution, I managed to find the answer a few minutes after my post. So, if anybody is interested: Jack unmute && 100% pactl set-sink-mute 1 0 && pactl set-sink-volume 1 100% HDMI unmute && 100% pactl set-sink-mute 0 0 &...

Pulseaudio & ssh [SOLVED]

I updated a system I had installed last year yesterday. Unfortunately, because of the new audio system, two of my ssh commands no longer work. If anybody could tell me the pulse audio compatible version of these I would be grateful: Changing the sound output from the Headphone jack to HDMI: amixer c...

Re: Latest update/full-upgrade broke my 3B set-up [amixer]

OK, I have found a workaround:

This one stores the settings of both HDMI and Analogue output

Code: Select all

alsactl --file ~/.config/asound.state store
And this one restores it to whatever settings were stored:

Code: Select all

alsactl --file ~/.config/asound.state restore

Re: Latest update/full-upgrade broke my 3B set-up [amixer]

I used to have a script which tampered with the volume control in a given time. Unfortunately, the command doesn't work in the new system. Can anyone help me? The old code: amixer set PCM unmute && amixer set PCM 100% Now, this works with the HDMI output: amixer set HDMI unmute && am...

Thank you for your answers. I have checked and you are right about MPEG2 licenses. One mystery is solved, thank you :-). Now, my bigger problem is HDMI/VGA settings. Any ideas about that? :-)

config.txt, conditional filtering based on serial numbers doesn't work

Dear All, I would like to use serial number based conditional filtering in my config.txt, but it doesn't really work. We have almost 30 Pi-s (Pi3 & Pi3+) with different displays, MPEG2 licenses, etc. I've created a config.txt, which includes all serial numbers and it seems that some parameters a...

Latest Raspbian (2019 April+) kernel problem

Dear All, I have updated Raspbian to the latest possible version and now my T3 Airmouse freezes the system. As soon as I push any button on the remote the CPU usage jumps up to 25% immediately and remains there. Mouse cursor works but clicking doesn't not even with a regular mouse or a virtual one t...

Re: Duplicate Share Mount Icons on Desktop

I have found a workaround. Put the directory back under /home/pi and add this line to crontab: @reboot (sleep 10; /bin/mount -a). If it doesn't work, you can increase the time.

Re: VNC server on x86

I know, I have just wanted to know if it works. Cloud connectivity is not an option and also we don't need that (& we are on a commercial network). I also sent an e-mail to Realvnc about a possible solution for schools weeks ago but I haven't got any replies.

Re: VNC server on x86

Thank you for your answer! :-) I have tried to use RealVNC but it doesn't work. It runs, but VNCViewer refuses to connect to it. Moreover when I check the connectivity page on the server it doesn't show the IP address of the system which I could use to connect to it (like on Rpi). The page is totall...

VNC server on x86

Hi!

I have just installed Raspbian x86 on an old HP desktop. It works, but I miss realvnc server from the Raspberry version. Is there a (free) server program, which works on the system? Maybe one which works well with VNCViewer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

I tried out PINN light (2.5.1) this morning on my brand new Pi 3 B+ and unfortunately there seems to be a problem with the firmware. - I can only Install Raspbian from the internet (same with NOOBS, so the root of the problem must be universal). - BUT, when I install Libreelec (8.2.4) from a USB sti...

Re: Doesn't finish the sentence

Well, as you probably guessed I am still a newbie when it comes to Linux. I know how to download and use IMG files and a few other things, but getting and older version of files from github is above my expertise :-(. I use the IMG file from the project's website: https://dl.google.com/dl/aiyprojects...

Well, it is the official Google image file for the kit (https://aiyprojects.withgoogle.com/voice/). I've been trying to work with this version as well: https://github.com/shivasiddharth/GassistPi, but it isn't working as efficiently as the original does.

Doesn't finish the sentence

I played with my AIY kit about a month ago and it worked just fine on a Raspberry Pi Zero (not W). Now I've installed it on a Raspberry Pi 1B+ and it seems to be working, but it wouldn't finish its last sentences. For example if I ask about the weather she starts talking, but stops before she could ...
