Re: Self-Signed Certificate help: red-line through HTTPS

For myself.. and this particular project at least (RPi/Chromium) The following actions seemed to fix my issues for a LOCAL self-signed certificate. (now showing up as GREEN/Secure, on port:443 at least) :) https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7580508/getting-chrome-to-accept-self-signed-localhost-cer...

Re: SSL help: red-line through HTTPS

^ bump... everything I have found so far says 'check date and time'.. which is not the issue here. (date and time are correct) Although I guess it begs the question of.. If this project is powered off... (and never connected to the internet after, initial set-up).... once powered back up after (who ...

Self-Signed Certificate help: red-line through HTTPS

I recently installed SSL on my RPi.. after using a few different tutorials.. I finally got the https:// url to resolve into showing the webpage content. However.. * I had to 'ignore' the SSL warning * I am now seeing a red-line (strike) through the HTTPS:// portion of the URL. Everything I have read...

Re: Cant restart Apache after reboot: systemctl daemon-reload

@RonR Thanks for the reply, and staying on point. :) Well thats a bummer. I never knew it was a known (always) issue/bug in Jessie. I thought either it was done on accident (bad commands/installs).. or that this was 'fixed/addressed' by now. I guess I will follow the list of 'band-aid' fix users as ...

Re: Cant restart Apache after reboot: systemctl daemon-reload

I guess it doesnt matter what anyone says.. you always have your opinion....right? Even though its not the focus of the questions/topic. I mean I read post about you helping with Jessie questions in 2019.. so I guess 2.5 years ago is ok for you.. but not 3.5 years? haha And gimmie a break!.. Like Im...

Re: Cant restart Apache after reboot: systemctl daemon-reload

* As noted.. Jessie was chosen by design/for a purpose for this particular project

* When I did this same project years ago (when Jessie was (fresh/relevant) it worked no problem.

So now Apache no longer works on Jessie? (is that your answer?)

Cant restart Apache after reboot: systemctl daemon-reload

OS: Raspbian Jessie (by design, for specific project) I install Apache, as soon as I reboot, I get an error: sudo service apache2 restart Warning: Unit file of apache2.service changed on disk, 'systemctl daemon-reload' recommended. This is a clean/fresh install of Jessie (on purpose) These are my ex...

Re: Apache module install: httpd.conf vs apache2.conf (where to add VirtualHost)?

update: well I made a new SD card from the image I recently made of this project/build.. (basically up to the point right before I attempted this Adobe Policy Apache mod stuff).. Aaaaaaaaand... this same error was already there! That means there is a flaw in my original set-up process (which I docum...

@rpdom thanks for the suggestion: I am seeing this as my result: sudo apache2ctl configtest AH00558: apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1. Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message Syntax OK Whoa? Why is it saying 127....

Apache module install: httpd.conf vs apache2.conf (where to add VirtualHost)?

Last time I did this level of stuff on my RPi, I had a co-worker help me out (more his area than mine, and much more comfortable than I am as well) :) Summary: I have a local LAMP install, and the locally hosted wbe page has an embedded .swf (flash app.. yes I know Flash is dead, and the EOL is days...

Hi- I am rebuilding an old project that got corrupt.... and ran into (yet) another hiccup.. :) In my project..(outside of everything else).. I have an Arduino connected to the RPi via USB. What kinda xmas project you got going on? :)

I usually use Arduinos for that kind of stuff (never used the GPIO's on a Pi yet).... so this stuff always peaks my interests.
