Re: Ethernet over USB between 2 RPi 4Bs

Are you going to stick with the Raspberry Pi OUIs of the MAC (the first three bytes - either b8:27:eb or dc:a6:32 IIRC) or are you prepared to make something up? If you make up your own OUI (probably won't break anything) you could use different ones for each USB interface? IMHO you are worrying to...

Your idea reminds me of the old, non-standard, "RS232" serial "system variant of a "three-wire, daisy-chainable, A.R.C. (Addressable RS232C?) interface (in the "Typical RS232 pinouts and junction boxes:" section of this old page of mine: http://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/rs23...

Re: M.2 -> USB on RPi4b or SSD (sata) -> USB3 on RPi4b

NVMe drives can be very power hungry, and this is a problem when used on a Raspberry Pi computer which can only supply up to 1.2A at 5V from its USB ports (1.2A x 5V = 6 watts, and that's shared by all four USB type-A ports). I bought an external Samsung T7 500GB SSD to be used as a storage medium ...

Re: Pi 400 performance for a photographer Cards Backup Device ?

After a lot of thinking, research, and consideration, I scrapped the idea of using a raspberry with external HDD/card reader (or similar like RavPower RP-WD03) as a backup device for my camera memory cards. Instead I will be using my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (which I would take with me anyway) with an ...

Have you considered using 400GB MicroSD cards instead of HDD/SSD ? A very nice and reliable card reader for such MicroSD card is the "Kingston MobileLite Duo 3C microSD Reader with Dual Interface USB-A and C". https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-FCR-ML3C-MobileLite-microSDHC-microSDXC/dp/B0741...

could it be that the ISP is auto-blocking port 44123, and if so would that give the no route to host response?
Are you sure that the remote IP-address has not changed ?

My first question is, where does this "has to be exFAT" originates from? Not from the specification, that's for sure.

The weird thing is that when I connect the lan cable ssh through 192.168.88.4 (wlan0) works.
It all makes sense when you study the output of "ip route".

What I would suggest is that you create a backup (or duplicate) of your memory card and that you try this: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=295972&p=1787781#p1787781 Please be aware that I have tested this with an USB attached touchscreen. I do not know the official RP...

Re: Advice on how to setup a new swap device (can you get HDD's any more?)

Obviously , moving the system to a larger SD card is one option. Your missed the importance of the type of card (A1) as your current card has most likely less performance. Replacing the card would help to get more space and get a better performance and reduces the number of parts (one flash instead...
