Bullseye fails to eject hard drive

I have 2 hard drives and when I plug them in to a USB port they will fail to eject after use. Clicking the eject button or doing it from the command line give the same error of "Failed to eject XXXX" Before installing Bullseye both ejected fine and I did do a clean install not an upgrade.

I installed Manjarro and ran the imager which took under 10 minutes to write the full image to an sd card so there is obviously and issue in the system somewhere.

Has anyone else got problems with rpi-imager since the update in the last couple of weeks? It used to write the Raspberry Pi OS full image from a zip fle in about 10 minutes maximum but today it took 1 hour and 25 minutes to write it. Under htop all 4 cores are being pulled to 100% by it with 8 inst...

When are we going to get an update to them? Chromium won't sync and stay logged in any longer, Firefox is not supported by a lot of sites saying it is out of date and no longer supported. As google have stop Chromium syncing and logging in why not update Firefox so we have at least a fully supported...

VLC not installable [SOLVED]

I have just done an update and VLC was removed and I cannot now reinstall it as it says dependencies are missing but they are not??? Has anyone else had this problem? This is what I get:- sudo apt install vlc Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done So...

Yes please lets have a 64 bit version on my old Acer Aspire the 64 bit versions of Linux are a fair bit faster.

Hi

My Pi 4 is also freezing every time I use Chromium since installing today's updates, it was perfect before then . I have just installed Firefox and it is fine not freezing at all.

The alsamixer advice did resolve the low sound for me on my pi4 headphone jack but I cannot get mpd to connect to pulseaudio, anyone have any ideas?

Is anyone else having problems with usb mounted drives saying you must eject it before removing but it has been ejected using the button on the task bar?

I have found the same problem as others but have found just unplugging the wifi adapter and plugging it back make the mouse and keyboard work again. Must try an extension cable to see if that works.

Does not work with compositor enabled on my 8GB pi with all the latest updates, I still get scrambled video.

I love it makes it easy to find all my downloaded Magpie files etc, pity it only goes to 31 as I have all copies of the Magpie downloaded from version 1 :D

Bug logged.

It is definitely WiFi since the updates this week. My zero is fine if it is downgraded to rapbian with no updates prior to the upgrades this week.

My 2 pi 4's are fine with the updates just the older ones that still have rapbian just did apt update and full-upgrade on the older ones.
