Re: Is there any way to ssh in my raspberry pi 0 without the keyboard

thanks that's actually kind of neat, though one thing I am wondering with ICS...

how does the IP assignments work ? with ICS on does the router do it via DHCP ? does the ICS assign them ? or do you just have to put the pi/pc on their own ip range ?

Re: Is there any way to ssh in my raspberry pi 0 without the keyboard

just to hijack this thread a little out of curiosity..

is it possible (easily) in usb ethernet gadget mode for the pi to access the internet ? and would it require some convoluted windows side configuration to make this work ?

Re: browser of choice ? (not chrome :)

I don't think Chrome has the VC patches. I think its just confusing naming ? probably means chromium ? anyway I fixed one issue by telling it to not use system bars and now its a lot more uniform. though I am still curious if chromium does any calling home because it does reference google in the se...

Still leaves me still wondering mostly about the privacy stuff, is the version of chrome with raspberrypi os doing all the goggle telemetry stuff?

I forget if I tried to zero this driv...

Re: changing hostname ?

Re: changing hostname ?

nothing suggested fixed it, restarting, rebooting, powering everything fully off, refreshing nothing.

but logging into the Pi and changing back to DHCP for the IP address and suddenly the hostname is working

*shrug*

thanks for the suggestions though

I think its been over a week, starting to wonder if one of the routers has cached the hostname, is it a difficult thing to get the pi to change the mac address? figure if it were chached that might force it to update

I spoke too soon on Firefox! I noticed it lags lots when switching pages on youtube to the point where it crashes almost every time if I don't just let it sit and do its "thing" after its all loaded it works fine. I am going to give chrome a shot and switch to 64bit beta! will give that us...

I use a cheap (26$ in total) 9" 1024x600 HDMI monitor with 13000mAh Anker power bank as Pi4B laptop.
I wanted to try the powerbank idea the only issue being one of the power bank I was testing had no indicator as to how much power is remaining, is there any solution for this ?

Re: The Raspberry Pi 400 thread!

As a desktop, it would be nice if the Pi 400 comes with a cover for its GPIO as to avoid possibility of accidentally short-circuiting the GPIO and damage the Pi while using it as a desktop. maybe cut up an old ide cable to plug it? anyway I am wondering about color, as retros have shown will the wh...

Re: different year/versions of pi4?

thanks for the responses then I guess the reseller is selling it as pi4 as "2019 model" because its the first revision and the latest must be a 2020 model.

I also saw someone mention 2018 model but I guess that must have been in error.
