Re: STICKY: TUTORIAL: Build the #1 Image Viewer – Automatically in 3 Minutes!

:D Bless you, RPiMike! I have just finished (I hope) installing Fehshow & fehview on my RPi4 8gig running TwisterOS. I did a search and found no instances of TwisterOS in any posts so this is just to let people know that it works. There are a couple of differences in the behavior of the script: ...

Re: How to turn off the automatic voice in raspberry pi?

Sitting in your recliner and suddenly leaning forward to catch something (like the dog deciding to leap out) will make excess adiposity trigger the CTRL-Alt-Space sequence. A rather annoying, tinny voice says "Installing." I have learned to wait until I hear "Installation complete&quo...

Re: GPIO relay no click sound

I had the same problem. If the relay is not clicking, it is not closing. I too read all the stuff on not using 5V. I also found a few posts that said it wasn't a problem if done right. My 4-relay board has the transistors, etc needed to set up a relay circuit to run reliably with a pi. Switching to ...

Re: USB-MSD boot EEPROM update - 2020-05-28 Report this postQuote Sun Jun 07, 2020 7:17 am The latest firmware is in APT so installing Raspberry Pi OS to an SD card, apt update, apt full-upgrade does work. Clearly you have to update the bootloader as well which is already covered in the instructions...

Re: Unable to connect Pi3 to wiFi

Check out the newer tutorial from dronebotworkshop: https://dronebotworkshop.com/motioneyeos-raspberry-pi/ The wpa_supplicant.conf that you have to put on the SD card before you stick it in the pi is a preconfiguration file , the rest of the stuff gets put in by motioneyeos when it boots up. assumin...

Re: STICKY: TUTORIAL: Build the #1 Image Viewer – Automatically in 3 Minutes!

:D Hey Rpi_Mike, Just a note of appreciation from a geezer with memory issues: I just got caught up in the update/upgrade from Stretch to Buster resulting in black screen. Ended up following your “Nuke” advice and reflashed micro-SDHC and SSD with Buster, put in HawaiianPi’s hdmi cure even though it...

RPi3B+ not booting after update/upgrade

I have been using my RPi3B+ with an SSD for several months now with no issues. Today I decided it was time to update so I did. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade ( everything appeared just fine) exit From Raspbian opening screen, clicked on shutdown, then reboot. Raspbian screen did not come b...

Re: STICKY: TUTORIAL: Build the #1 Image Viewer – Automatically in 3 Minutes!

I was having the devil's own time trying to get this to work. Luckily my new RPi3B+ arrived and I put it together with a corded keyboard and it worked perfectly. I switched to the wireless keyboard and discovered the right click key had issues. After full nuke and using rm -r Feh_Build 3 times, I fe...

Re: REVIEW: X850 mSATA SSD storage expansion board

I got the Geekworm x850 mSATA interface board and a 128 Gb mSATA SSD. I found that the USB bridge is labelled x800 v1.3. While reading in the forums, I came across a post that said the 800 bridge was bad and needed to be replaced with a newer version. Now I can't find the post. Any suggestions?

Details of using Terminal

Greetings- I am a complete newb with Raspberry Pi 3 Model b. I burned Raspbian to sd card and it fired up great except that it can't get on the wifi. My wifi had WEP security on it and that was not liked. I prowled the forums and then got a quick education in wifi security schemes so changed my secu...
