Re: RPI 3B: All USB devices get often disconnected from USB bus including onboard network adapter/port

UPS is running since April 2020. Battery is according log from 9/2019, so less than 2 years old. Since it is an line interact...

Re: RPI 3B: All USB devices get often disconnected from USB bus including onboard network adapter/port

Is everything running though a battery backed UPS? Yes it is a 330W UPS. So not these small ones designed for RPI. At that UPS is running Fritzbox, a TP-link managed switch, Wifi devices and another PC which has no stability problems at all, so the UPS shouldn't be a problem, otherwise the other de...

Re: RPI 3B: All USB devices get often disconnected from USB bus including onboard network adapter/port

It is the official Raspberry PI 3 power supply, so what better unit could I use? There is even no external HDD drive which would require a lot of power. "Never touch a running system". The last time I've upgrade a Raspberry PI zero W Bluetooth range was massively reduced, see https://www.r...

Off topic posts? Every link points to the raspberry pi website somewhere and all look on topic. Mine linked back to me requesting this last November on the feedback 64bit thread. It provided the links that always point to the latest version, so nobody has to go to the downloads folder, I.e just lik...

Re: Why is Wifi RTL8192EU driver blacklisted by default?

Mr Engman's driver code is much better, it's less likely to drop the connection than the blacklisted version. So we should stick with it the way it is now. However when there is a kernel update it could be that you have to update the driver. On a system which has only network connection via this Wi...

I've tested the driver from there https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=62371 USB Wifi Adapter blinks but I get no speed improvements at least in download direction. In fact it could be even a little bit faster with rtl8xxxu driver. So the question remains why it is blacklisted...

Re: Why is Wifi RTL8192EU driver blacklisted by default?

Hi 6by9: Thanks for your information.
I'm still a bit confused. I guess it is blacklisted, because there are faster drivers available. However these seems not to be installed on Raspbian, so why are the slower drivers blacklisted? Hope you can shade some light in the realtek driver darkness.

Re: Please add driver for popular Wifi RTL8192EU included, since it exists already more than 7 years

@fruitoftheloom: Thanks for trying to help. I know you can compile or download from somewhere, having to trust that there is no bad code inside. However I've asked for out of the box support. I have a lot of different USB Wifi dongles and every single one worked with RaspberryPI by just plugging int...

Re: [Tutorial] Encrypt Raspberry-PI on Debian Buster with remote unlock

Hi VortexNexus. I had quite a similiar problem. What powersource do you use? Please try with the official PSU and no Power via GPIO PINs. Are you sure that there is no backpowering via USB ports? Please disconnect all USB devices. If that doesn't work, then sorry I have no idea what could be the cau...
