Re: Raspberry Pi Pico only delivers 0.03 volts

ok, after a bit more poking around, I can't reproduce this error anymore. I'm not sure what I did differently, but nothing I was doing yesterday would makes this go away. Yep, I'm just connecting to the ground pins on the Pico. I suppose there's nothing to learn from this except that electronics are...

Raspberry Pi Pico only delivers 0.03 volts

Hi folks, I was trying to get my Raspberry Pi Pico to do something and it just wasn't working as expected.. was getting really low voltage readings. I wasn't sure what was going on, so I tried doing just a basic LED tutorial, and this didn't work either. The internal LED on pin 25 still works though...

Re: How would you add more ADCs to the Raspberry Pi Pico?

I was personally involved in testing the PICO ADC (see the mentioned thread). That's why I find the ADC not usable Could you please explain in what way they are unusable ? I have to admit that I found much of what was presented on the linked thread rather incomprehensible. I am unclear on what is b...

Re: How would you add more ADCs to the Raspberry Pi Pico?

Might be easier/cheaper to add more Picos? Doing it that way would require 5 of them to read 14 knobs and faders! I ordered the 16 channel analogue multiplexer instead. After shipping they're about two bucks each on the breakout board. I'm hoping that with the CPU clocked so fast then it should be ...

Re: How would you add more ADCs to the Raspberry Pi Pico?

Hey folks, So the Raspberry Pi Pico has three ADCs. That's 3 more than my other Raspberry Pi boards, so pretty cool. What if you wanted to read 10 or 14 pots though? Obviously that requires more hardware, but what? PIC microcontrollers seem to offer lots of ADCs for the $$$, but there's the whole h...

Re: Using Python to detect my iPhone

It reads the output from ping Nope, if my phone has been locked for a while or is at McDonalds it doesn't respond to a ping and I get "Destination host unreachable". If you happen to catch it during the short periods it wakes up to check emails it might respond but most of the time the wi...

Hey everyone, I know I'm bumping a really old thread here. But I was stuck on this exact problem a few days ago, and this thread is what showed up in Google. I hope the next person who is stuck on the same problem finds this and it helps them :) The easiest way I found to do this was to reserve an I...

Heads up that RISC OS is back in NOOBS, if you'd like to add it.
This would be excellent.

No idea about the screen. But the zero W might not be all that suitable if you want to connect to the internet with it. You want an Ethernet port to connect your Pi to a network using Risc OS.

Re: RISCOS and wireless?

For a desktop computer (such as a RPi with RISC OS) WiFi does not make any since. It's totally the other way around IMO. The files you need for your Risc OS projects are so small, that there's no real need to worry about plugging straight into the router if it's not conveniently placed. Here's how ...

Playing Badass Acorn Archimedes Games on Risc OS

Ok, so I think just about every retro gaming nut out there has figured out by now that the Pi is a brilliant platform for emulating classic 8 and 16-bit consoles. What's perhaps not so well appreciated is that there's a whole library of games from the exact same era that were written to run natively...

Re: Watching Australian TV on a Raspberry Pi with no Antenna

This is for the Freeview Australia. It doesn't get you any British television. That sounds similar though. Over here, Freeview do the digital broadcasting as well as offering streaming on the internet. The channels you get from this are exactly the same as if you connected an antenna to a set top bo...

You are aware that this isn't strictly legal, yes? I'm talking about you streaming it. If the stream comes via an IPTV service, then its perfectly legal.
This sounds a bit dodgy.

Freeview is the official digital platform of the free-to-air channels.

I've seen it advertised on billboards.

Watching Australian TV on a Raspberry Pi with no Antenna

Hey everyone, I recently set up my Raspberry Pi media centre to stream Australian free-to-air channels over the internet. I've done this using Retropie 4.4 on a 3B+, but you should be able to install this Add-on on any Kodi setup. You might need a VPN to access these channels outside Australia. Full...

Hi, I'm new-ish to the Pi, and still have a RISC-PC running here too! I've recently bought a Pi 3B+, having used RISC-OS on a Pi 2B for some time now. The Pi 2B has Raspbian and RISC-OS both on the same micro-SD card, plus a few other things too. This means I can easily boot up in either of them at...

Thanks! I'll give option 2 a go. I have to unscrew my case to swap cards, which is kind of a drag when you just wanna play a few levels. If I can't get dual boot working, I'll just get another case.

So, where to from here?

I have 2 SD cards - could I write the image to one of them, and then make a tar.xz from that?

Or does the RISCOS file system ruin that?
