Re: Official Pi Zero case doesn't fit new Zero 2

No problem with this case so far, it perfectly suits: https://thepihut.com/collections/raspbe ... -zero-case
I'll give a try with the official case and tell you back.

Re: Help for fbtft dtoverlay [SOLVED]

Do you plan to add new controllers to your fbtft dtoverlay ? It already supports all the existing fbtft drivers: https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/latest/source/drivers/staging/fbtft There won't be added any more fbtft drivers since fbdev is a deprecated display subsystem. Some have a counterpart in...

Re: Help for fbtft dtoverlay [SOLVED]

I have made a working dts based on the gamepi dtb for these displays (att) but it still needs more work to be fully flexible. Rotate seems not to work, and the init sequence has to be repeated explicitly and I'm not sure it is correct. This works with the cheap 240x240 version of these displays wit...

Re: Help for fbtft dtoverlay [SOLVED]

Ok, thanks. I'll go with the dtoverlay only, and it works pretty well so far. My attempts with my st7789 board wasn't so good. I suspect a dead module since I can't see any backlight wherever I connect the "BLK" (Back Light Cathode) pin. At the back of the module, I can see the ribbon of t...

Re: Help for fbtft dtoverlay

I assumed that you had used rpi-update to get the latest kernel (not in the deb package yet) or copied in the overlay manually, but maybe not: $ ls -l /boot/overlays/fbtft.dtbo -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 12764 Nov 10 09:35 /boot/overlays/fbtft.dtbo You can get it like this: $ wget https://github.com/ra...

This will show you why it fails to load: sudo vcdbg log msg There's a 78 character line length limit on the overlay lines in config.txt. I think this should work: dtoverlay=fbtft,spi0-0,ssd1351,dc_pin=24,reset_pin=25,width=128,height=128 dtparam=fps=25 dtparam=rotate=0 dtparam=speed=4500000 Hello N...

Help for fbtft dtoverlay [SOLVED]

Hello, I'm struggling with fbtft dtoverlay, for driving small LCD/OLED SPI screens, and I can't find support anywhere with the right way to use this dtoverlay properly. Platform: Raspberry Pi A+ under the last Raspberry Pi OS bullseye 32 bit. Screens: 128*128 OLED with SSD1351 controller and 240*240...

Re: Pi 0 2 w does not work with 64 Bit Raspberry Pi OS

Renaming the 3b dtb file didn't worked for me, and the provided zero-2 dtb worked.
I didn't had any monitor on the mini HDMI connector, I only had a wpa_supplicanf.conf and empty ssh file on boot partition.

Re: When will Raspberry Pi OS be taken seriously by the foundation?

It's not only about the 64 bit availability, it's about both 64 and 32 bit availability, and I really prefer waiting RPT to release them officially when they will be ready and not before.
Meanwhile, the beta is very functional and I'm using it since a while without issues so far.

Re: STICKY: Raspberry Pi OS (64 bit) beta test version feedback

On the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W the current beta of Rasperry Pi OS 64-Bit isn't starting. I think the reason is that it is maybe an old Kernel, which is not compatible? After powering on with the latest 64 Bit Image I only get the colored screen but no booting OS. Covered here: https://forums.raspberr...

I too have seen the rainbow square with the 64 bit lite image. I'm interested in how some of the bloggers have got the 64 bit OS working, they have shown it to perform better in benchmarks than 32 bit. Jeff Geerling for example. https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2021/look-inside-raspberry-pi-zero-2...

Is it possible to power a Pi-zero-2 AND provide wired ethernet connection via the same USB port by using a power adapter with ethernet port, like I just tried the Pi Zero 2 with one of these and it works fine: https://store.google.com/gb/product/ethernet_adapter_for_chromecast?hl=en-GB Raspberry Pi...

Re: A wifi antenna connector is an absolute must

Hello,
As an alternative solution, you can use the compute module with a board with almost the same form factor of a Raspberry Pi (like this one: https://thepihut.com/products/mini-base ... e-module-4).

We recently ordered 2 Pi4b4 at office and they also have exactly the same issue (with the same shape of flux residue)
I also have some soldering residues.

Is CANutils enough to accomplish this task? 3-While ...

Hello, Thank you for the suggestion. A few questions: 1-If i use the SPI to connect the rpi with the stm32, do I need to disable the rpi's uart? 2- Can I just use a USB cable between rpi zero and stm32 to communicate or do I need more configuration? 3-For sending and receiving the can, I use CAN-ut...

Re: Raspberry PI OS 64-bit Release Date

I do have a PiOS 64 (prerelease, obvs.) build on the Pi to my right, which seems to work nicely. I've even got OMX-accelerated vlc running, albeit via 32b multiarch. Works well enough. I'm still not sure what you'd want out of a server build. Servers tend to be specialised, so only packages relevan...

Since most of my setups are headless, I'm quite aware of lite version. I also expect that Pi foundation release the 64 bit version alongside with Debian bullseye switch. Re: Raspberry PI OS 64-bit Release Date

Hi, Why not releasing a server version of Pi OS 64bit ? Even without desktop environment or multimedia support, it should be useful. I'm aware Pi OS targets educational computing, but since Pi3 and particulary Pi4, it make sense to use it as a little server. Like Canonical did with server version of...
