If it's not Manjaro, Kerry doesn't care and only her opinion counts. OP; No, Zorin will not work on an RPI4. not true, i actually been sticking with raspberry, right now mainly the lite 64bit version and doing my own desktop install. from what i remember of zorin is they use to charge dollars for b...

i suspect part of the problem there, is that people expect that if it runs windows, it can run any windows app they dont understand that arm cant just run x86 binaries, and just assume windows apps run on anything with windows From my testing of windows 11 on the Raspberry Pi 4B, x86 app emulation,...

Re: This forum… PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING. (KALI and "Windows 10 ARM" are NOT supported!)

And what the people obviously want is good ole regular Windows running on super-cheap hardware (i.e., the Pi). i suspect part of the problem there, is that people expect that if it runs windows, it can run any windows app they dont understand that arm cant just run x86 binaries, and just assume win...

I doubt it could be solved, since the Raspberry Pi is ARM based, and the driver is X86.

Hey! I have a 7" screen Waveshare clone (not original), and a Raspberry Pi 4. I've tried a bunch of different things, and in all cases the screen remains dead. The Pi works well with a VGA adapter to another screen. I have a official power supplier of 3A -- and I've tried disconnecting all oth...

Re: Ungoogled Chromium Browser

Would it be possible for Raspberry Pi OS to switch to support the "Ungoogled" Chromium browser instead of the current "Googled" Chromium browser? There's not much "Google" to chromium anymore, with google removing google features (including sync) from chromium recently.

Hello Giga_Pi, You have done good job creating this. Saying those on after reading all comments who have installed and its working for them. But for nerd like me did not think of backing up my system before trying this out. Am agreeing this due to lack of my knowledge. But if you can just put this ...

Re: HOWTO: Install the GNOME Desktop Enviroment on Raspberry Pi OS lite (With new script, video and image)

Luckily, I have actually found a way of reverting the changes. If you run: sudo apt remove gnome-session gnome-shell nautilus gedit gnome-terminal seahorse gnome-tweaks piwiz network-manager then: sudo apt auotremove you can then re-install using: sudo apt install raspberrypi-ui-mods pi-greeter rpd-...

Re: X11 vs Wayland - Wow!

Whilst this is certainly not the same... Wayland does suck on Raspberry Pi OS with GNOME. Moving over to X11 makes it run much faster. Its quite noticable! This said, it will probably be out of date, so optimisations and the like won't yet have been implemented, so maybe not a fair comparison? Anywa...

Re: STICKY: Raspberry Pi OS (64 bit) beta test version feedback

Thought I would mention here... 64Bit OS was mostly fine for the time I tested it. I wanted to see whether GNOME For Pi would work on 64Bit Beta. I was pretty impressed with the performance of GNOME on 64Bit Raspberry Pi OS (surprising improvement over armhf), and most things ran fine, but ran into ...
