Re: RPi Cam Web Interface --- Long exposure with HQ cam

According to https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/usage/camera/raspicam/longexp.md, the Raspicam HQ is capable of doing 230sec long exposures. How can I use this long exposure times in the RPi Cam Web Interface? I would be happy even with 5..10sec, but I seem to be getting only 1sec max. I am ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface errors with High Quality Camera

Rich: Thanks for the response... I haven't tried recording video this way yet with the HQ camera, but I'll get to that! Meanwhile, I might have found my problem : I had been experimenting with using long exposures in RPi Cam Web Interface with a "em Verylong" command in the scheduler. I no...

RPi Cam Web Interface errors with High Quality Camera

I've been experimenting with the RPi Cam Web Interface that uses RASPIMJPEG with the Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera. Using a Pi 4, it works fine for awhile, but eventually causes the dreaded: Error in Raspimjpeg: Restart RaspiMJpeg ...etc. At first, I thought it might be the long camera cable, but...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Lastly (for now) I'm trying to convert the jpg to dng using PyDNG, it should be pretty straight foward, I create a bash end_image.sh on macros folder, and execute the examples/utility.py of PyDNG using the 1% arg with the file name. Well, I can not figure out what I'm doing wrong but I'm getting a ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Tortoizian: The key to controlling hardware (like your relay example) from RPi_Cam_Web_Interface is to use a pipe to send commands to a script that runs in the background as root (e.g. launched as "python myscript.py &" in /etc/rc.local). This is because the macro sh file that is launc...

Re: Raspistill -ex off with HQ Camera captures a black screen

That's good news that the raw file works now (although I can't find that other thread you mentioned.) I probably don't need the jpeg. I'm confused, though, because I thought that raspistill -r outputs the raw file with a preceding jpeg image? Regardless, I've ordered an HQ camera and I will try to b...

Re: Raspistill -ex off with HQ Camera captures a black screen

Too bad! I was considering building a Pi4/HQ camera setup like this to digitize negatives. Is it really true that the HQ camera cannot capture an image with a shutter speed faster than .65s? It seems to me that raspistill -ex auto would need some exposure times faster than that to exposure properly ...

bssid ignored in wpa_supplicant.conf for repeater

I am setting up a Pi Zero W with latest raspios. It's out in the yard, where I have a WiFi repeater rearby that provides a better signal. The problem is that wpa_supplicant keeps reassociating with the main Wifi router in the house (Mac :88::etc:5a:21, then again reassociating with the WiFi repeater...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I want to make a small change to raspimjpeg's tiimelapse feature. Where is the most recent source for RaspiMJPEG.c ? The one in silvanmelchior's archived userland at github is out of date and doesn't support the anno3_ options. (This has been asked before, e.g. by placidchat on this forum, but I cou...

Re: Arducam PTZ camera - product or vaporware?

I've received this camera kit and am beginning to work with it with a RPi 4. (camera seems to work) You are correct, this doesn't come with the servos or pan tilt mechanism, but includes everything else. For pan-tilt, I'm using this: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10335 Finding software and docum...
