AND IT WORKS. What does/did that do? fkms is the old driver, the rpi engineers have said that they are no longer going to maintain it, and to stop recommending that people use it kms is the new driver, but clearly, its got some bugs in it run: vcgencmd version uname -a tvservice -s tvservice -d /tm...

From the logs and traces, it looks to me that the PHP clean service may be the origin of the problem.
the stack trace says that it was linux trying to free up memory, and its more likely the ram just got corrupted by something else
and php just happened to be the first thing that needed more ram

if you run "dmesg" then you should get the error in a much more clearer form, can you check that after it gives the error?

Re: Not sure what I'm doing wrong (Pi 4 fails to load Raspberry Pi OS)

i would try editing config.txt and change the kms to fkms and see if that fixes it

if it does, you should post the edid and have the engineers find a proper fix

Laptops generally tend to have lots of proprietary hardware in them and that tends to limit their lifespan.

Re: How to set receieve timeout value and interrupt in UART?

Also, I don't think the receive timeout interrupt does what you want yep, its meant to be used in combination with the fifo level interrupt getting an interrupt when then fifo is say 50% full, lets you get more bytes per interrupt, so your not interrupted as much and the timeout interrupt, is to de...

Re: Request: Hardware crypto extensions

This. Adding the ARM crypto extensions to the SoC would improve network throughput (not by a huge amount on latest devices, I did some tests, but noticeable!), but makes no different to secure key storage. Also adding the ARM crypto extensions can make the SoC liable to export restrictions. I had t...

Re: Heating my 3d printer enclosure with carheater

PWM controlling the heater is an option. Be careful though, the fan in these car heaters could stop to run when operated with PWM at low power. Perhaps an option to separate the fan supply from the heating device. or just use a far slower pwm 10 seconds on, 40 seconds off, gives the fan time to get...

As always, like anything fun, overclocking may void your warranty. I was able to reliably get sys_clk up around 240-280Mhz. Any higher and you start running into the known issues with the QSPI ROM. there is a divider in boot2, that configures the QSPI rate from clk_sys using that, you can run the Q...
