Re: messagerie Telegram

Re: Yet another No HDMI Sound after upgrade (Buster)

Thanks @Cloudcentric ! Encouraged by your observations and hints, finally I was able to restore digital audio functionality - after some fumbling here and there - especially with the P.A. Volume control panel... So this upgrade I was so reluctant to do finally is a win-win situation : able to use my...

[Solved] Yet another No HDMI Sound after upgrade (Buster)

Hi ! Long time no see... Yesterday I did the long postponed "apt full-upgrade" of my Buster/RPI 4b . Unfortunately after the so-called upgrade of the OS, HDMI sound stopped working (analog sound output - audio jack - does work though). I understand this problem has been hashed and rehashed...

Chromium extensions

Hi, Forum ! Following minor corruption of my on-disc Chromium "profile", the browser has lost track of a few settings as well as all my extensions. Other than that it is working well, so I would not need to reinstall the browser package from scratch, only extensions. Would you please remin...

Re: Problem when running program with autostart: it's relaunched as soon as exited

I have modified autostart to run a program of mine at startup: @/home/pi/run.sh The program (made with SDL2) is indeed running at startup but when I exit it (using escape), it relaunches automatically, which is unwanted behaviour in my case. Is this a known issue? Is there an alternative to the aut...

how-to : clean display panels ?

Posted, subject to "what is acceptable here" rules. How do you all clean / wipe / dust off modern large LCD displays ? Use dry (resp. wet) cloth ? What type of cloth ? If wet, just clean water ? or some cleaning solution ? Also, static electricity clearly has a role in dust build-up. Any ...

Re: Set all Output to analog TV

Unless you have checked that the centre of the yellow phono plug is not connected to any of the 4 contacts of the TRRS plug, it is more likely that the cable is not broken but is wired according to one of the other configurations that are in common use. Uh ? As already written, I have tested absenc...

My cheerful advice : dump that cheapo fan to the trash (or into your drawer of unusable odds and bits).
