Re: I need to hack a Pi4

Mates, thanks for your kind support, as I said my purpose is not to hack someone else technology, but to safe my work and reduces expenses for silly reasons. I guess, if you'd be in my shoes, you do the same. I worked in IT for a long time. If a vendor asked me for permanent remote ssh and root acc...

Thanks for the replies. However, these replies don't point me in the right direction. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
The direction you have been going seems to be the wrong one. Try the other direction.

swampdog pretty much answered it in his "one-liner" :)

The long hand version is a little easy to understand starting out.

Re: help with sh bash script

ip a show wwan0 | grep "UNKNOWN" returns a result (long line) if it contains the string UNKNOWN, it does not return the text UNKNOWN

You need to test $?, which will be set to 0 if there is a match, otherwise 1.

Code: Select all

ip a show wwan0 | grep "UNKNOWN"
if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then

etc

Re: "Software Utilties" spelling needs correction

Thanks B.Goode,

I log in to this forum everyday. I'd have to lookup my github password, so not worth the effort for one "i". ;)

regards

+1

I would like it if there was an option for posts and threads started by "foes" would completely disappear.

Re: Tiny core install permanantly

Probably should use tce-load -iw packs.tcz

This downloads the extension and adds packs.tcz to /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/onboot.lst (usually /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/onboot.lst)

As you have already downloaded the extension, manually add packs.tcz to /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/onboot.lst

I recommend getting her a tablet that YOU are very familiar with. My 87 year old mum loves her iPad. Experiments with desktops, laptops, ipods, iPhones all ended in failure. Yeah she dosent do well with the iPhone (too small) and iPad she just swipes her way into trouble. The keyboard and mouse see...

Re: Power Supply for Raspberry 4 bad design for Australia

Yeah, but in Australia/NZ the cable comes out the top (have you ever seen that before?) and the Raspberry Pi logo is upside down.

In China, it is orientated just like it is just like rest of the world, hence designed for China.

Re: Power Supply for Raspberry 4 bad design for Australia

And all of my sockets already have fixed spacing. The problem of greedy power supplies (covering a space wider than a single socket) has been known for a long time. These days, switchmode PSUs are much more compact, and so the problem really should disappear. In fact I have several PSUs with simila...
