Re: Is Python the best choice, instead of C or C#?

Well I do not mind learning Python and it syntax. I do not aim to use note pad when writing code, but vs code. I believe VS code does have plugins that aid in syntax correction and advice. My language of choice would be c#, but its bit of trouble getting the linux environment working, then you need ...

Re: Selecting what is output HDMI

Great.

What I am trying to do is avoid the OS GUI being displayed but only display certain videos(MP4) and maybe custom message/GUI.

Is there a library or code example for this?

Energy Saving Mode

Hello,

Does the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W have an energy-saving mode? I plan to power it using a 12V battery, which will be stepped down to 5V. Therefore, I would like it to operate in a continuous saving mode and only wake up when certain operations are required.

Selecting what is output HDMI

Hello everyone,

I am new to Raspberry Pi. I was wondering if it's possible to configure the HDMI output to display a sequence of video files according to a programmed list or a custom GUI, perhaps showing certain sensor values, etc., instead of the standard OS GUI. Is this feasible?

Is Python the best choice, instead of C or C#?

Hello everyone, I am relatively new to Raspberry Pi. I have previously worked on a project where I had to port a C# project onto the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, and this proved to be very troublesome as it required me to install .NET, VS Code, and go through a rigorous installation process. I am now emba...

Re: GSM modules Vs USB Hotspot device

So if I were to use BG95-M3 or Simcom 800 for example, would the Pi see them as a modem and simply connect to the internet? From what i have read, with such modem, i would still need to write the AT commands to connect to the internet, while if was to use a hotspot module i am just connect to local ...

Re: GSM modules Vs USB Hotspot device

Yes, I think the cheap mobile phone would be the best option to get this started, but my preference would be a USB solution. With this option, not only my application but the entire RP would have access to that internet connection, which would be useful if I need to remotely access the PI. Maybe I a...

GSM modules Vs USB Hotspot device

Hi All, I am using the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 for an upcoming project. I need to place the Pi in a location where there won't be a Wi-Fi connection; therefore, it will require a mobile network connection. Initially, I was planning to use a GSM-based module and write all the AT commands myself. However,...

Capture audio using C#

Hi

I am using .net and c#.

Do I need to install a specific library or package, in particular, to capture audio from a USB mic connected to the Raspberry Pi 2W?

General Project Setup via ssh and git

Hi All I am new to the Pi but aim to use it for various projects by learning quickly. I am likely to use c# for some upcoming projects. Re: ssh with no password, help needed.

Ok, it seems like I have to edit those files, and now I can not access the Pi via ssh, so I will install the OS. So what settings must I use here?

Please see attached image, do I need to set the password even though I am using a key or can I set both?

Should .ssh folder be in my user folder on the sd card or directly in the home folder?

And do I need to make changes to the sshd_config file?

Hi I have followed a youtube example where I can use SSH to create a C code from Visual Studio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvi1nmKK81Y But it seems like the project folder/files are stored on the actual Pi. How can I set up VS code so that the project file is stored on my PC as well as a Pi, li...

Re: C library examples and programming approach

Thanks

So how many cores does the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W have?

So Time Division Multiplexing, is that similar to the Free RTOS OS/Stack for C? Or does Raberry Pi have its own version of it?

I might have multiple programs that we aim to write, preferably all in C.
