Re: No Second Monitor with Bullseye

When I say 'latest updates' then I need ro mention that I did: 'sudo apt-get update', 'sudo apt-get full-upgrade', an 'sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' and 'sudo 'rpi-update' (for latest kernel). Once you did this make sure to make a crosscheck with swapping cables. What's the resolution of your screens?...

Re: No Second Monitor with Bullseye

Two HDMI screens are working for me (on a fully updated CM4), but three screens (2x HDMI + DPI) still results in a non-booting CM4 (as reported already). Interesting that you have two screens working, but have a boot problem with 3 screens. My Dell's have 2 x HDMI + 1 x DPi inputs, but I am not usi...

Re: No Second Monitor with Bullseye

They are two identical Dell 27 monitors. I flashed a new card with the latest OS and used another Pi-4, and got the same result. The second monitor displays a splash screen first and then goes blank, and then the first monitor displays the desktop. I fooled around with the screen config but it only ...

Re: No Second Monitor with Bullseye

I should have mentioned that I have tried screen configuration, and HDMI-2 is greyed out so it does not work.
Will try a fresh download with another Pi-4 to see what happens

No Second Monitor with Bullseye

I have dual monitors on a Pi-400 which work with Buster , but upon loading Bullseye I get a splash screen on the second monitor for a few seconds and then it goes dark and the monitor says no HDMI input. The first monitor works fine.
Has something changed, or is there a setting I have overlooked?

Re: Cannot access Webpage to install printer on Pi-4

Thank you, that was easy. All my printers showed up and did not have to do anything else.
I will try the IPP method later on.

Cannot access Webpage to install printer on Pi-4

I have just reinstalled the latest version of Rasbian (June 2) on both of my Pi-4’s, All appears well no blank screen. However, I installed CUPS following the instructions on the web, but when I try to access the localhost:631 it says site cannot be reached. I have successfully installed printers on...

Re: SOLUTION: VNC does not start on a headless Raspberry pi.

I have been having the same issues with any of my Pi's.
Found out that if you SSH in to it, it does not always connect first time, but when SSH connects then you can use VNC without a problem.

Re: Chromium crashes when I go to Pandora login page

I have started getting crashes on Chromium after the latest update. It would probably help those looking into issues if you could say what crashes, when doing what and where, ideally how to replicate that. Yes, you are right, sorry. Chromium crashes when browsing Yahoo. It occurs after loading coup...

Magpi 51

As I have a string of LEDs that I am playing with, using some code I cobbled together myself using Python, I thought I would try out the Christmas lights as a bit of fun as shown in the Christmas edition of MagPi. I tried out all of the various codes but unfortunately I could not get them to work. I...

Re: Model 3 Slow

Thank you for the replies. I found a nice small heat sink and stuck it on the CPU with some heat sink compound, and the Hi-Temp indicator as gone away. I am using the exact same SD cards on both units. The only difference between the two is the Wi-Fi adapter, using a Edimax on all my other Pi's, not...

Model 3 Slow

I have at least one of every Raspberry-Pi model, and I noticed that each one is a bit faster than the previous one. However I find that the Model-3 appears to be slower to react than the model-2. I set both the model 2 and the model 3 up with the latest OS (Pixel) and running them side by side the r...

Re: Ultrasonic sensor on raspberry pi zero

The Zero is powered with 5 Volts and the echo signal is passed thought a voltage divider to give 3.3 volts to the appropriate pin on the Pi. Although it does look like the voltage may be low somewhere.

Ultrasonic sensor on raspberry pi zero

I have been trying an ultrasonic sensor, HC-SR04, on various versions of the Pi. With any of the large board Pi's the sensor gives me a maximum range of about 100cm, however, when using a Pi Zero it only gives me a max range of about 50cm. I recently got the latest version of the Pi Zero, and have t...

Re: Power supply for multiple RPi units

I have 4 Pi's running from 4 USB connectors that are fed from an old 35 Volt DC printer power supply connected though a DC to DC converter that puts out 5 Volts DC for the Pi's. Works very well, but it takes up some room on my work bench. One day I will try to fit into a smaller space like a black b...

Looks like network connectivity has been changed again. I upgraded today, 23rd, as well and /etc/network/interfaces has changed from what I'm used to. Select the network icon and LEFT click. Hopefully you will see a list of wifi networks. Select the one you want to connect to and you should get a d...
