Re: Where do find fasm binary for Raspberry Pi armv8?

Oh thanks for the hint. Do you by chance know any mining software for Raspberry Pi which can use the verushash algorithm for VerusCoin?

Where do find fasm binary for Raspberry Pi armv8?

Hello, I am looking for the fasm binary for my Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS but I can't find any official repository of Ubuntu. Does anyone know where I can download fasm for armv8? I am trying to compile nheqminer from VerusCoin and it requires the fasm binary as stated in their document...

Re: How to optimize current for 2 USB SSD disks?

Hehe yeah physics sucks :D

The disks are Samsung T5 SSD 2TB but I could not find how man watts these consume on the official web site:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/memory-stora ... pa2t0b-eu/

Any idea where else I could find this information?

How to optimize current for 2 USB SSD disks?

Hello, I have a Raspberry Pi 4 with 8 GB RAM and 2 external USB SSD disks of 2 TB each (Samsung SSD T5) attached. Unfortunately it looks like when I have some heavy load on the two USB disks at the same time, they both lose connection and are both not available anymore in the OS and I need to reboot...

Re: Real outdoor solar panel for RPi Zero with PiJuice HAT

I already did that but most of the solar panels which say outdoor and which have USB or 5V are not really outdoor panels. Leave them a few months out and they will be destroyed. So I also figured out that I will most probably have to do it myself with a real outdoor solar panel, a charge controller,...

Real outdoor solar panel for RPi Zero with PiJuice HAT

Hello, For a small outdoor webcam project I am using a RPI Zero W with a PiJuice Zero and their own PiJuice Solar Panel, 22W. The problem is that this PiJuice solar panel after only 3 months outdoor seems to bend, rust and slowly break due to the rain I suppose. So I would like to replace this PiJui...

I'm not certain, but your problem may be the same as https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/3746
which has a potential solution.
Fantastic, thanks for the link. I upgraded the kernel and it now works again!!

Re: wlan0 gone after update

Have you tried rebooting? The difficulty is likely the new kernel. At this point I would revert to the old kernel. I think there are instructions how to do this using a secret code with rpi-update somewhere on this forum. Hopefully someone else can chime in with ideas what is a good way to restore ...

wlan0 gone after update

Hello My RPi 2 Model B v1.2 with buster got updated this morning (apt-get update/dist-ugprade) and since then the wlan0 interface is gone. I use a TP-Link TL-WN722N USB wifi adapter and it used to work fine as access point until today. I tried already running a rpi-update but that didn't help either...

Re: Howto configure a static IPv6 gateway with dhcpcd

In an ideal world yes I agree the whole thing would be automatic but unfortunately I do not control the network and I have to configure the IPv6 manually with the static addresses I have been given. As mentioned that network does not have DHCPv6 nor RA this is the reason why I have to enter manually...

Howto configure a static IPv6 gateway with dhcpcd

Hello, I need to configure IPv6 manually (static) on my Raspbian buster Pi because my network does not provide DHCPv6 nor RA. In the past (Raspbian jessie for example) I would do that very easily using /etc/network/interfaces like this: iface eth0 inet6 static address <MY_v6_IP> netmask 64 gateway <...

Re: Add another HAT on top of PoE HAT

Thank you for your answer rpdom, I just realised now that the male pins can go through the PoE HAT in order to reach the next HAT. I guess this means I need th 11mm long 2x20 pin female GPIO header as the 3mm looks too short to reach the next HAT?

Re: Add another HAT on top of PoE HAT

Thank you for your answer.

Do I need to soldier that 2x20 pin header onto the PoE HAT or does it somehow stay on its own?

Also I don't quite understand what is the 4-way risers for and if I really also need that?

Add another HAT on top of PoE HAT

Hello, I've got a PoE HAT v2.0 and noticed that this HAT does not have any GPIO male pins on its board, just some holes. So I was wondering if it is still possible to add an additional HAT on top of the PoE HAT? If yes how do I do that? Do I need to solider some pins on top? I would actually like to...

Re: No Docker for Raspbian Buster

Thanks for your input, I see that manually installing the .deb packages does not force you to install the AUFS-related packages which is nice... As you can see if you get the packages through the official APT repository it will force you to install the aufs-* packages as they seem to be required as ...

@Brtwrst what about the aufs-dkms package? Does installing docker your way also automatically pulls the aufs-dkms Raspbian package? Re: Two HATs together (PoE+Blinkt!)

First thank you all for your answer and suggestions. The easiest and nicest way seems to be @rpdom's suggestion of using a long pin extension header on my RasPi and then stack the PoE and finally the Blinkt!. Now I was wondering if this extension header would be long enough to do the job: https://uk...

Re: Who to contact for broken Raspbian package?

Unfortunately I did an apt-get update/upgrade and there was today a new kernel which upgraded my kernel from 4.9 to 4.14 and now the ZFS module won't compile anymore as it did wirh kernel 4.9. It already fails at compiling the SPL module which is required for ZFS. Here is the output of what happens:...
