Re: HomeKit Pi?

Both projects still seem to work, but there have been some changes with iOS 9 which require some modification. I suggest you follow projects. Actually now that Apple has approved native HomeKit iOS apps, there is no longer a need for a developer license to complie and run a HomeKit app on your devic...

Re: C++ wrapper for ZWay home automation library

Excellent work!

Have you considered extending to support Apple HomeKit? There is a C based implementation of HomeKit Accessory Protocol, which i successfully compiled and ran on a Raspberry Pi.

Re: Home Automation Project

SiriProxy will likely never work with anything but iOS 6. Apple made a number of protocol changes which cannot be overcome using a MITM SiriProxy. As you may have heard, Apple announced HomeKit Accessory Protocol this year. It is still in beta, but there are two prominent efforts to develop a HomeKi...

Re: Siri, Pi, iOS8

Hi all, I had a good deal of home automation working w/ my RasPi and Siri with iOS6. As I'm sure anyone who cares knows, iOS7 broke all of that when it was released. I've done a *bit* of searching and couldn't find anything, so I thought I'd just ask. Is there a Siri/Pi solution that works with iOS...

Re: Home Automation Project

With WWDC behind us and the announcement of HomeKit, I have been looking at the possibility scrapping SiriProxy support and instead use Apple MFi. Not to make the RPi into a MFI controller, which I have read some threads of limited success on the RPi, but to turn the RPi into a MFi bridge. I think ...

Re: Talk to you pi!

Thanks. i saw your YouTube videos on the siriproxy program, if i talk to siri (with the siriproxy server on) and say a command (eg; sudo apt-get install fortune) will that command go through the RPi's Terminal, or will it go through the Siriproxy program and come up as a false statement? if you don...

I'm sorry if I didn't mention this, but if there is a plugin for 'SiriProxy' that could allow the feed to go through the terminal?

Is this what you are looking for?

Re: Siri: Open my garage door..

I'll assume you are not using iOS7... A small number of users have reported similar symptoms. 1. Have you tired removing and generating new certificates? That has worked for some. 2. Some users have made changes to some of siriproxy source files to solve their problem. https://github.com/plamoni/Sir...

I want to make something similar to SiriProxy: - I want to use a Raspberry PI with two microphones in my room, so I can give commands without using a headset/smartphone - It should be able to turn on a TV, one or two consoles, an old disassembled laptop and the lights of my room I am sure you can f...

Re: SiriProxy on Raspberry Pi Public Service Announcement

Some users of my SiriProxy on RPi SD card image have reported problems on newer RPi's with Micron SDRAM. Hense, I created a new SD card image with the latest firmware and kernel, but since I do not have a RPi with Micron SDRAM I will have to rely on the community to confirm the image works. https://...

Re: Need help with install of Siriproxy

SiriProxy is NOT a consumer "push button", "plug it in and turn it on" type of application, nor will it ever be. If that is what you are looking for, or do not have the skills or patience for, then I suggest you save yourself the trouble and stop now. My RPI SD card image is abou...

Those instructions are outdated. Use only the sanctioned instructions https://github.com/plamoni/SiriProxy or you can use my SD Card image with siriproxy pre-installed http://sourceforge.net/p/siriproxyrpi/wiki/Home/

NOTE: SiriProxy does not work with iOS 7 yet.

That's one way to do it.

You can eliminate the complication and expense of a RPi+microphone in every room by using the noise canceling microphones and speech recognition you always have within reach. Your phone!
