Re: sync chromium

This is the case for all of us for months now. I did not understand how you could manage to sync chromium up until now. Google disabled third party syncing months ago. It has been months since I last sync it. I didn't know Google stop allowing Chromium to sync. Why does Chromium still show the opti...

sync chromium

I just did a clean install of bullseye and now I can't get Chromium to sync to my google account. I go to setting and click on "Turn on sync", put in my login and password and nothing changes. When I put the cursor over the user icon, it shows my name. But when I click on it, it says I'm n...

upgrade to bullseye

I'm getting a dependency error on ligc6-dev when I try to upgrade to bullseye. I followed the instructions found https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/upgrade-raspberry-pi-os-to-bullseye-from-buster . Everything appeared to work until I got to the last $sudo apt dist-upgrade This is on the Pi 400. Thi...

I see nobody answered the question in the title. "Any ideas?"
I only see one question in the title. "This device is garbage, or am I stupid?" Well the device has sold millions, so it obviously isn't garbage.

Why not just use gparted to resize to the way you want it after it finishes booting?

ok, so the 1000 base and 1024 base issue came to my mind after the post, thanks. also the partitioning and formatting reductions and overheads are good information, thanks for that, too. so my question: is this a realistic result and should I be happy with this or do you reckon I made a mistake and...

Try it on a mobile (or just make your browser narrow enough for it to switch) and you'll find there is no way here. I understand the ever-expanding nature or Raspberry Pi Foundation and Trading, but side-lining Community seems a bad idea. Perhaps a Community link, which leads to the Forum, Twitter,...

I imagine a lot of people will do what I did and just add a bookmark directly to the forum. Problem is that bypasses the home page entirely so stuff the foundation might want people to see, isn't. I'll probably still visit the home page once in a while, but not nerely as often. :(

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 should be an iPad / tablet case <||>

The Pi Foundation deserves a lot of credit for proving that a usable device could be produced to sell for under $40. But you have to realize that their aim isn't just a cheap device, it it for a device that encourages kids to learn computer programing. That is why they have actually discouraged empl...

Re: Cheap raspberry pi 4b with 4gb of ram everywhere

The "contact me outside ebay" suggestion breaks ebay's sales conditions: sellers are never supposed to do that. Sales outside ebay have no buyer protection (not that ebay has much, but they have some) and might be a scam. I'm just glad you got one! The buyers on eBay have a lot more prote...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 is not a replacement for a real PC, (as it doesn't have Skype) sorry!

While I do admire the work and the product (and the price), one has to buy the product first and then find out that basic features are missing and reviews simply ignore. In 2019, where everyone use skype for video chat, this feature is missing in all Raspberry Pi 4 OS. This could have been just a t...

I tried to ping other devices on my LAN but get no response. I changed the local in RPI config from UK to US but it didn't help. e...

Re: RPi4B ... NO DISPLAY/Video ????

Before tarring everyone with the same brush, your situation is unusual - most people have no problems setting up their devices. So, you tried it on someone elses HDMI monitor and it worked fine. that means the Pi itself is fine, and the setup is fine. So it's going to be down to your particular mon...
