Re: The Red Reactor Battery Power Supply

In the extreme video test case, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS3TtVOnquk ,you can see the Red Reactor battery supply switching from external power to run off it's internal batteries, and everything just keeps going despite the very heavy load. When external power is back, it switches cleanly...

Re: Is RaspberyPI NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act)compliant?

Wait... the blue boards were manufactured in Brazil? Why did we have to import them from the UK then (to Perú)? It would have been a lot esier to have them sent directly from Brazil!

Re: Forum Link on Home Page

I think accesibility has suffered with this changes, but maybe it's only for me. I use the Vimium extension to be able to "click" on links without the mouse, using just keys. But the dropdown menus can't be opened with keys (it takes me straight to the Hardware or Software section) , so I ...

Re: Raspberry pi 400

Actually I think what should be happening is, Rpi foundation should embrace ergonomic designs and not put the keyboard up on top of the desk at all. I don't understand this. The Foundation has never put anything on my desk. I receive a keyboard, I put it on my desk. How could the RPiF change this? ...

Re: Analog ports on the Pi4

From what I read on the Datasheed (page 24) the ADS1115 can be configured to use one of four possible addresses. That means you should be able to have up to 4 of them connected using I2C to the same Pi.

Re: Analog ports on the Pi4

Have a look at the following link: https://learn.adafruit.com/raspberry-pi-analog-to-digital-converters . Although it says that the examples are no longer supported, the general information is good and the products mentioned are a good starting point. Remember that if you want more channels you can ...

Re: Analog ports on the Pi4

Hi. There are no analog inputs on the Pi4 (or any other model of Pi, for that matter). You can find external ADCs like this one (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1085) if you need to read analog signals with the Pi.

Piwiz translation

Hello. I'm working on getting a custom PiOS version for our clients - basically using PiGen to make an image as local as possible, language/time-zone wise. I've found that even though I've managed to get the default language and locale set correctly to spanish and Latin America, the Pi Wizard itself...

Re: Why no audio on the Pi camera module?

The only issue I see, is that getting both sources to sync is not straight forward and it would be great if some tutorials would exists, which explain, how to produce a synchronized videos. It basically comes down to get correct timestamped audio and video frames. Thw link posted above a few posts ...

Re: Why no audio on the Pi camera module?

One of the great things about the Raspberry Pi is its modularity - people are free to choose the parts they want to build their project the way they want. Besides, if there was a microphone built into the camera module, there would be endless posts here asking why the mic didn't have this or that ch...

Then where is the headphone jack? I don't mind paying extra to the foundation for something that works out of the box. Ummm.... it's right there, next to the HDMI connector. I guess you meant "Microphone jack". Yes, having a mic input would be great. The again, you would have to buy a mic...

Re: Google Hangouts with Raspberry Pi 4B - Request to Raspbian Foundation

That's great, but I still feel the lack of microphone and drop in webcam is something the foundation could do to improve the idea that the PI is a desktop replacement. Well, to be fair, most desktops (not talking about those All-In-Ones, but the classic CPU tower + Monitor + Mouse + Keyboard) don't...

Re: Google Hangouts with Raspberry Pi 4B - Request to Raspbian Foundation

FWIW, I just tried my Pi4/4GB with a cheap USB microphone and the official camera with Hangouts. First time Chrome asked for permission to use both camra and microphone (which I granted) but it didn't work - no video, no audio from my side. I was able to receive video, though. I closed the call and ...

Re: Pi4A or "Pi3A++"

3A+/1G seems the easiest choice at the moment, but that's adding more to legacy gpio setups and firmware to have to support as time passes. but has that ram dropped enough in price and are the main users needing it, buying them. Slightly more complicated than that.... The Pi3 boards use (as I recal...

Re: Pi4A or "Pi3A++"

I''ve edited the original post to include the idea of USB-2 instead of USB on the virtual Pi4A. I'd have some trouble using a Pi4A with said characteristics on simple iot projects, that's why I'd like to have the updated Pi3A+. Of course, in that cases, the extra memory might not be needed, so if th...

Re: Pi4A or "Pi3A++"

It's not a specs post in the sense of, I don't want to start the typical "The next board should have this and this and that" war. I'm stating the 2 models that I think could fit the 25$ space (that right now is a bit underserved from my point of view) and asking you to tell me which of tho...

Pi4A or "Pi3A++"

So... now we have a top of the line Model (the Pi4) which starts with a 2GB model and can be a good desktop computer (ignoring some small non-issues some people like to complain about). This is great for countries like mine where money is more often than not a problem when it comes to access to comp...

About 2m away I got 35-40 db (and in that case I managed to make it "run smoothly"). Those numbers mean nothing since we don't know background noise levek in you room, or your phone's microphone sensitivity... Just to give some meaning, tell us the dB readings with the fan on and then the...

The first thing that comes to my mind is using VNC. Just download VNC viewer (portable version available), create a user and add all of yo...

Yes, but you don't see official statements with messages like "If you see a hammer on your kid's table, call us (the police) so we can keep him away from killing someone with it". A better way would be something like "Remember to teach your kids the safety procedures they should obser...

Hola.

La opción mas simple es la de instalar MoodleBox:

https://moodlebox.net/en/

Este sistema ya tiene todo instalado para que la Raspberry Pi se comporte como un servidor de contenidos con Moodle instalado y listo para subir tu contenido.

Double check everything. Then check again. Reconnect the flat cable to...
