Re: TV Hat & Fan

TV hat blocks all the GPIOs, so how to power a fan? You don't need a fan for a Pi 2. I am also wondering what those two through holes on TV hat PCB are for.... It is used during manufacture. IIRC it is the WP line for the HAT configuration EEPROM. thanks for that info on the holes. Re the fan, that...

Re: Pico USB keyboard/joystick emulation

I am surprised we haven't yet seen a bunch of retro keyboard/mouse adapters. Read the inputs with the Pico and generate USB KB or mouse functions via the USB port... Or the reverse.. read the USB port and write to the Pico outputs and wire to the retro machine (Amiga, ST etc). Or am I missing someth...

Regardless of whether it is paid or freeware, if your going to develop or provide software in the public domain. You have a certain degree of responsibility to that user base.
In your opinion.. Others may differ. Legally, you'd be talking out of your bottom

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

I beg to differ. If I use a piece of FREE software then I don't expect the author to be obliged to do anything. It can be buggy (then don't use it), it can be one version and nothing more (nobody is forcing you to use it), they can fail to communicate. It is their choice. Now if you had PAID for it ...

So is this emulator now effectively dead? Does anyone know if there is an alternative? Was hoping Chips might at least dignify us with a reply, but it would appear he's not bothered :(
Has it suddenly stopped working now? ;) I'm sure a sarky comment will force Chips to reply

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero audio outputs

If I only want mono output, can I just do the top part of that circuit ? https://learn.adafruit.com/system/assets/assets/000/028/754/medium800/raspberry_pi_audiofilter.png?1448516534 i.e. 2 resistors and 2 caps ? Sure, they are independent. But if you have a stereo source you should mix it (somehow...

Could you set the emulator to say 4x Amiga mode (320x256) scaling to 1280x1024 with the rest of a 1920x1080 screen as black border???

This is about OCing the Pi Zero not what you can use them for? ;) No, thought I was saying it is pointless, get a pi2 or 3 if the zero is not fast enough, well I thought I was saying that and offered a solution. Yes but Pi Zero form factor is going to f...

Anyone have any details on pizero overclocking? I have been messing with RT_PREEMPT on the pizero with jessie and found the Xorg server seemed very sluggish when dragging windows and strange taskbar cpu load figures, e.g. mouse movements causing jumps to 12-20% for 0% when X is idle (nothing but de...

Re: RetroPie / Rasplex Dual-Boot Image

You can update both RetroPie and Rasplex parts of this image from within each "OS".

I am now wondering IF it would be better of the RetroPie side of this image was built from DietPi+RetroPie rather than the default Raspbian+RetroPie.. it should be smaller and faster loading
