Re: Downloads not updating

Actually it's 16gb but wierdly it shows 7gb used and all we have installed is the OS. That doesn't surprise me - but ~8GB "headroom" is probably too small to install Raspberry PiOS with desktop and then add in the "big" extra's (which I don't do). These days, like the others I m...

Re: Hardware origines of the Under-voltage

Hi, We have some under-voltages on sites. How many points of measure have the Rasberry ? Is there a measure on the USB 5V, another one for the power 5V or only one point but where, from which component ? Best regards The french Tokheim team. AIUI the PMIC which generates other voltages (1.8V etc.) ...

Re: Report of under voltage with correct voltage

I checked the output voltage, which is 5v constant. did you measure the voltage at the psu or at the pi? At the PSU, at the wire closest to the pi. How did you measure it? (Eg. a DVM will not pick up short, transient, voltage drops which the Pi'c PMIC will detect - to see/detect those you need to u...

Re: Every time I connect my DVD/Bluray player to my Raspberry Pi 4B the keyboard stops working

Hi, ... I don't think it is a power supply issue, because they are connected to different ports and the DVD/BluRay device is connected through a powered USB hub connected to a power socket. I have also tried to remove the hub and connect the device directly to the Pi and using its secondary cable f...

Hello. I bought RPI 4 (1Gb) and connected it to a VGA monitor (Samsung 940N), but nothing happened. I used two adaptors: 1) Micro HDMI to HDMI 2) HDMI to VGA Each adapter works separately. I tried connecting the Laptop to the Monitor using HDMI to VGA adaptor and Raspberry Pi to the TV using Micro ...

Re: moving files from a Pi to windows

What is the easiest way to move files from a Raspberry Pi to a Windows computer? A lot depends on you and how comfortable you are with Linux. And whether you're running a desktop or lite OS on your Pi. Move to a USB stick then put the stick in the windows computer? That's very doable, just remember...

Re: RealVNC and Pi

RealVNC does not live well with other versions of VNC (e.g. TigerVNC) mainly due to the encryption used by RealVNC. I've found (as a home and commercial user over 5+ years) its best to use only RealVNC on the Pi and your client rather than mix and match. Likewise but, FWIW, I've recently observed, ...
