Re: Uninstalling of BCM2835

In fairness to the OP he did mention on the last line of his first post that he was interested in deleting a library.
which might arise from deletion of this lib.

To see what modules are loaded by the OS, try the

Code: Select all

lsmod
command.

We would need to see some details of the online guide you followed.

What changes did you make to your '/boot/config.txt' file?

How have you wired your MPU6050 to your Pi?

Have a read of this post.

You may need to add quirks to get your drive to work.

Hope this helps,

That is normal it is 32bit Userland with an appropriate Kernel for the CPU Architecture. There is no 64bit Kernel / 64bit Userland release by the RPF / RPT. As RPT are now beta testing a 64-bit version of Raspberry Pi OS on the RaspberryPi machine, I was wondering if there are any plans to release ...

Re: Unexplainable behaviour of Extrernal USB HDD

Yeah, but I work with this setup about 4 month or so - without any problems. Are you using quirks for your jmicron SATA to USB3 chipset? Raspberry Pi OS had a kernel update a few weeks ago. This may change the situation with regard to quirks. What kernel are you running now? Are you using an extern...

Re: Unexplainable behaviour of Extrernal USB HDD

Have a read of the sticky post about poor performance of disk drives on the Pi's USB3 port.
You say you are using a jmicron interface between your drive and the Pi.
These have been known to cause problems, and may need quirks added as detailed in the above post.

On your "Gumma config" picture, it shows the Port as "/dev/Serial0". Your dongle is connected to a USB port, so this is incorrect. You should use something like "/dev/ttyUSB0" If you unplug and then plug in your dongle and run the "dmesg" command, the last few...

I saw something similar last year while trying to get a Crucial 120GB SSD working on a Pi 4B USB3 port through a StarTech adapter using an AS Media AS 1351 chip set. I found that when I connected (either before or after booting) my drive it would initially appear to connect, but after a few seconds ...

If you are worried about a magnet affecting the balance of your chuck, fit 2 magnets 180 degrees apart. You will then count 2 pulses per revolution, which will help when detecting low RPM values.

USB 3 devices can put out interference that affects wireless devices that operate in the 2.4GHz band, like your wireless keyboard. The usual recommendation is to use a short USB extension cable to connect your keyboard's dongle to the USB 2 port on your Pi. Getting a bit of distance between your USB...

Re: RPi4 using WiFi only if Ethernet connection missing?

@Bosse_B, As far as I know, your Pi will use an Ethernet connection in preference to a WiFi connection for traffic when both interfaces are present. If your Pi has both an Ethernet connection and a WiFi connection, run the "route-n" command to see where the Pi will send it's traffic. It sh...

It is not so much the adapter as the adapter's chip-set. At the moment I'm using a StarTech S251BU31315 adapter which has an ASMedia ASM1351 chip-set. It is working with an old Crucial BX100 120GB SSD. I did have problems getting it to work in the beginning, I had to plug it into a Pi 3B+ and partit...

Undo any changes you have made on your Pi while trying to get your serial port working. Add the line: enable_uart=1 to the end of the '/boot/config.txt' file, and reboot. Refer to your serial port as "/dev/serial0", that's Serial Zero not Serial Oh, in your code. The 'serial0' alias for th...

2 things to try: First, power down your Pi, plug in your USB Drive, and power up again. Does the Pi work normally now, and does the drive work? It's possible that your power supply can't handle hot plugging of the Drive. Next, read the sticky post about poor performance with SSD's attached to the Pi...
