Re: STICKY: Bullseye - Comments and bug reports thread.

Here's a new one for you. Reconnecting to bluetooth audio devices fail under bullseye. To recreate: - Pair a bluetooth earphone. - Select it as audio output device. - Select AV jack or hdmi as audio output device. - Try to reconnect to bluetooth earphone. In my case it says "host is down"...

Yes both same monitor & hardware. Only change is Bullseye Orig KMS and modification to FKMS in config.txt Subtle difference in the way it is read perhaps or something else? Cheers MrGreg I had a look at your EDID with Deltacast E-EDID Editor, it looked to have all the correct blocks and should ...

Re: KMS replacement for hdmi_drive=2

You're thinking of config_hdmi_boost which adjusts the drive strength. hdmi_drive has a slightly confusing name as it sets the mode with the choices being DVI i.e. no audio or HDMI. Exactly was a really handy and simple work around if you have a device that is not recognized as HDMI for whatever re...

KMS replacement for hdmi_drive=2

Hi, Is there an easy to alternative for hdmi_drive=2 when using the KMS driver in Bullseye ? I previously created a fake EDID profile when trying 64bit Buster last year but it was difficult to do and implement, I cant recycle my work either as I have a new monitor.... Mine is a fringe case I use an ...

2. No sound over HDMI. All worked(s) fine with same hardware in Buster. Raspi-config only shows option of headphones. No HDMI option available? BTW This on Pi4B 4G & Samsung monitor with true HDMI in + built in speakers. I experience the same problem. 2 PIs, one (Pi4B 4GB) with a Samsung TV -> ...

Re: Building kodi on Bullseye RPiOS

Hi, Bit of feedback, running PiOS 64bit edition... I managed to build on 64bit with Dom's suggested edit, didn't run this though as the repo version became available. Installed the unstable repo version today and a quick test drive was successful, it played all the content I pointed it at, live TV p...

Re: Top reasons to move to Bullseye?

I went all in and have gone for 64bit Bullseye on my desktop, I would say the move to 64bit has given me more than the move to Bullseye. I couldn't point at anything really in Bullseye that I would say is a must have, other than we are going to have to go there at some point, in fact with some of th...

Re: Quake 1 Pi 4 Bullseye 64bit

Bit of feedback, the performance seems to be the same on 32bit Bullseye and Buster so no regressions, and it looks like I am getting 3D acceleration just not to the level as with retropie... Will play more with retropie and see if I can figure out how it compiles darkplaces. 1024x786 gives 30fps in ...

Probably software rendering not accelerated. Drivers for 64bit are still in catchup mode? Compare it to 32bit versions on Buster/Bullseye. "glxinfo"? Identify if it is Video driver, 32/64bit or Debian version. Learn how to compile it from source, the RetroPie one could be tweaked too. Wel...

Well yes obviously I can do that, and I have, however it does not answer why there is a gulf of difference between the two builds.

Quake 1 Pi 4 Bullseye 64bit

Hi, I'm Trying Bullseye 64bit and installed quakespasm from the repo, when running 1920×1080 I'm seeing around 7fps in the opening of the game, as a comparison darkplaces on retropie 32bit sees in excess of 60fps. Compiling quakespasm does not seem to make any difference, any ideas on how to trouble...

Re: Building kodi on Bullseye RPiOS

My recommendation of 6 is based on the idea that nprocs * 1.5 is optimal for concurrency when compiling software on Linux, so perhaps the script should say this: BUILD_THREADS=$(( $(nproc)*3/2)) Or perhaps nprocs * 2, which would match the previous recommended concurrency of 8. I ran out of memory ...

Re: STICKY: Raspberry Pi OS (64 bit) beta test version feedback

The previous Buster64 release, in spite of still being in beta, is quite stable and useable. And a lot faster and responsive that the 32 bit edition. Once setup, a pain on all Pis, I've found it bug-free. Agree it's the one to go for at the moment. Seconded here, the really noticeable speedup for m...

Hi,

I don't think the "Wait For Network At Boot" option works.

When set, once the desktop has loaded the wifi connection in the top right appears to show it connecting, I would have expected to see a connection from the get go if it was working as expected.
