Re: Incorrect Date and Time Preventing Web Access

HI, I have setup 10 Raspberry Pi 4's 4GB with Argon M.2 Cases and 128GB SSD Cards. The OS is running off of the SSD / USB. When using the Rasbian Buster Web Browser (Chromium I think), we have trouble accessing web pages. An error appears stating that the system time is incorrect, which I believe c...

OpenCV GTK+ 2.x Error

Hi, I have been using OpenCV for a couple of years now successfully. I recently created a new SD Card image to make use of additional features in Raspbian Buster and re-installed OpenCV by following (IIRC) this guide https://www.pyimagesearch.com/2018/09/19/pip-install-opencv/ . I have recently been...

Re: Pi4 4GB SSD - Computer Alternative

You gotta love those little time and date hiccups... :D Glad to hear the Pi's were being little champions! Yes it’s a bit of a flaw in the OS setup, you get asked to set the localisation but not the date and time and it’s not set by the Internet. You can’t set the date and time using raspi-config e...

Re: Pi4 4GB SSD - Computer Alternative

Well we used them this week for Tinkercad, couldn’t access the web site at first as the time and date were not set correctly on the Pis, but once corrected the web browser and Tinkercad operated fine. In fact better than one of the donated iMacs that we have.

Netatalk No Longer Working Raspbian Buster Mac OSX10.15.7

Hi, I used to use Netatalk extensively to share files between my Mac and my Raspberry Pis. I have just updated my project Pi to Rasbian Buster and cannot connect to the Pi. Netatalk seems to install OK but when I use Go to Server and enter afp://192.168.1.219 , I get the prompt on my Mac to enter th...

Reset a Slider With a PushButton GuiZero

Hi, I have just discovered guizero after posting a question on the unoffical PiWars Dsicord Server. I am trying to create a GUI to test and possibly set min, max and start positions for Servos fitted to an UltraBorg Servo Board. I have got the sliders working fine and am now adding a button to reset...

Rasbian Will Not Boot From BerryBoot with Pi4 and SSD

Hi; I recently setup a new Pi4 with Argon One case and 128GB SSD. I followed this tutorial to install BerryBoot and have a couple of OS choices on the SSD Drive. I opted for Twister OS and Raspbian Desktop Lite. I can boot into Twister fine but whenever I try and boot into Raspbian I run into troubl...

Re: Pi4 4GB SSD - Computer Alternative

I do indeed have a Pi 4, in fact for Christmas I treated myself to the same setuo that I was planning for the MakerSpace. I fired it up just now and opened a Web Browser and signed into TinkerCAD, its not fast but definitely useable for the children to do some 3D design. My reference to MS Teams was...

Pi4 4GB SSD - Computer Alternative

Hi, I am kitting out our new MakerSpace in our school. On the equipment list I had 5 laptops and a small NAS setup for shared file storage. I also had 10 RPi 3's or 4s for physical computing projects. I am now thinking of ditching the Laptops and going for RPi 4s (4GB version) with Argon M.2 cases a...

Voice Commands - Recommended Route

Hi;

We wish to add voice commands to our RPi 3 powered robot. Needs to be simple and without the need for a HAT.
To avoid going down a rabbit hole , where should we start looking?

Re: VNC Retropi

Last time I was working on this, I got as far as just about everything running except I could not control it remotely. I still needed a controller connected to the PI itself. Was there an update that has resolved this or is there a workaround required? See this tutorial: https://www.linux-projects....

Raspberry Pi 4 1 or 2GB

Hi;

We are buying some Pi 4s for our Pi Jam.
Just checking, is the 1GB versions OK? e.g. is this enough base memory for things like Scratch, Python Rolling Robots, Minecraft etc. We will not be running high level graphics just projects for children / adults at the monthly Pi Jam.

Thanks

Raspberry Pi 4 Recommended Mobile Power

Hi; We are updating our Pi Jam equipment and have decided to get 10 x Pi 4s. Along with these we are getting a couple of CamJam Robotics kits, however I need some advice on what power packs to buy to enable the Pi and the Robotics kit to be mobile. I have used the CamJam kits before with a Pi 3 and ...

Hi; I have been given a Sony Vaio VGN UX-280P. It has Windows XP on it but I was thinking of letting my after school club or Pi Club attendees use it with Raspbian installed on it? What would be the best way to install Raspbian on it as it only has USB, I guess a bootable USB stick with Rasbian Imag...
