pH and EC or TDS

For a new project. Anyone experience with a decent PH and a EC sensor that works with a Pico board or RP2040 chip? I need to control a few IBC tanks with nutrician and want do that with a pico and a display ( + log ). Love to hear from you guys what sensor you did use and what I should use. It's no ...

Maybe add also the silicon itself?
With a link where to order.
What about if I or someone creates a board by himself?

@cricrides - Don't worry we knew. ;)

And Hippy is not Happy ;) and me neither.

But do the designers know :?:

I didn't test it under C, or is it a HW thing?

Re: ADC internal temp reading + ADC reading

Thank you for your comments. From, compared from room temperature, - 3º till +6º. All of them doesn't go higher then 26-27º. Too much of a difference. I know about differences, I used other chips as well, but those where more stable in their offset. But the difference has nothing to do with what the...

Re: ADC internal temp reading + ADC reading

I got 10 Pico's and every single one of them give's a different 'room' temperature value, and indeed when I use another ADC aside, the 'room' temperature get a fixed value.

I did ask about this in an older post here, but no solution.

Re: Problems to work with UART ports

Pitty, I did put it for a rest because here I can't get it to work either.
I ordered some 20 MAX 3486 last night and am waiting for that and fixes to some of the bugs mentioned here in the forum.

Have a nice weekend with MAX, have fun ;)

Thank you.

I did use max485 before. I will order them again.

Ordered max3486

Any other suggestions or known issues while coding in pico?
Is MP fast enough or should I do that part in C?

RS485

I want to order some RS485 drivers. But what kind should I order? What is for the pico the best way and handle/control those drivers; I2C, SPI or UART? There will be a pico that will act as a double master and others as just clients. Maybe I order all types later on, but for now I like to have some ...

How, or better what is the purpose for you to use it this way?
Again thank you.

Yes. RT-Thread Studio IDE only supports Windows now, the Linux version will be released around July 2021.
Am sorry its for w$ only... :(
for the Linux version.... hope you have a port that will run on RPiOS32 on at least Raspberry Pi 3B+ model and up. ;)
And macos?

Not a Documentation update, but is it possible that the documentation are published and pushed to iBook ( Apple books.app ), so we get atomically updates?

Re: Updates in the latest version of MicroPython

BTW, how can we check, using Thonny or any other method, what MP version a pico is using?

When will the latest recommended version be available using the pico channels here?
I like to keep for the moment the Pico documentation and MP version in sync.

Re: Pico Fridge Temperature Data Logger . . .

Hi

nice job,
However I see that when you set Logging on 'True', there is not a way provided to open the logging file.

Code: Select all

logging = True
.....

Code: Select all

f.write(correctedRTCstring+','+str(temperature)+'\n')

Nice.

Maybe are those suggestions for you....

connectors for I2C and SPI.
one Qwiic like ADAFruit connector
level BSS138 with headers ( 3,3V<>5V )
some buttons
and of course a I2C to RS-485 chip.

Re: Internal temp sensor

Okey, just adjust my formula to T = 27 - (machine.ADC(4).read_u16() - 0.706)/0.001721 but that looks wrong. It gives a negative value. Because you missed a step out. "machine.ADC(4).read_u16()" returns the raw ADC reading which isn't a voltage. Of course, you'r right about that. I should ...

Re: Internal temp sensor

For the current project accuracy is not that important; if it is 0,8 degrees off its okay for the purpose, I will update the formula to get it comparable with the reality. Even the speed is not an issue. Current is the main issue. If it gets lower or higher than the mentioned temperature, it will/ha...

I understands the protection will, and I agree with the issue. For a market product and leaving the code open ( not even open source ) will damage you. No doubt about that. And add it as a separated rom chip doesn't work because they can copy the chip. It is not always a big/smart company that is co...

Re: Anyone else experience programs not remaining on Pico after Reboot?

To get the script to run when the Pico powers on, you need to select menu item Device > Upload current script as boot script YMMV, as I have a non-current version of Thonny. I do have the latest, as of yesterday evening, macos version, but can't find that option. Hidden somewhere? What should I use...

Internal temp sensor

Did start with the Pico 3 hours ago and am playing with the internal temperature sensor, but some questions comes up.. Why is there a 4-5º difference between reality ( 20,5ºC ) and the chip result? It's about 16ºC for almost 3 hours even with LED's turning on and off. Where does that formula come fr...
