NVMe is a bootloader option but I don't think it is in the default EEPROM.
Depends when the CM4 was made and which bootloader it got.
You might have to reflash a new bootloader if you want NVMe.
Would that be something easy to accomplish? and relatively safe? Don't want to brick my cm3

Building yocto image for RPi CM4

Hello All, I recently got my hands on with CM4 and now I want to build yocto image with u-boot as bootloader. I have few doubts before I start the build. 1. Which machine to use in local.conf file? In the meta-raspberrypi there is no specific machine for CM4 https://github.com/agherzan/meta-raspberrypi/tree/master/conf/machine ...

Re: Running an MSB binary on 32-Bit ARM LSB

The bootloader will have the CPU in LE mode. You'll need to change it to BE, either by inserting an instruction at the top of (IIRC) head.S (which will need to be an LE setend instruction), or by writing a trivial pre-boot ...

perhaps you instead mean, is it possible to expose a USB drive from the Pico. Yes but from a running application (i.e. a UF2) rather than from the bootloader that is entered by pressing BOOTSEL during boot.
