I did not change default user/pw. after update, I tried default user/pw,( pi/raspberry) did not work.
this is second time this happened.

I download Jessie, unzip it. then write to SD. and it worked fine. I did not expand file system. the problem happened after I did update. what do you mean I have to expand file system ?

Hi, I have OS Jessie on my raspberry pi. when boots up, it won't ask me for user and PW. after I did "sudo get-apt update" then reboot. it ask me user & PW. I tried user: pi, PW: raspberry. it tell me incorrect. I wonder why after update then ask user/PW, and what are they? thanks Xianwu

Hi, I tried to set my pi a static IP address.
but not success.
my OS setting is like

iface eth0 inet manual

it always assigned me same address. seems I already get the static IP address.

what does does "manual" means ?

Hi, I just installed jessie OS. when I open terminal, it shows pi@raspberrypi. I assume that pi is user name, and it did not ask me for password. now I use putty try to login to my pi, my raspberrypi IP is 192.158.0.45 so type Host Name as pi@192.168.0.45 but it ask me for password. what is the pass...

I found answer on web. the default is set to auto. some how jessie doesn't detect HDMI, so set it to hdmi_drive=2 in /boot/config.txt

I use HDMI. I thought voice set to HDMI by default. because my old raspbian OS did not set anything.
How to set voice to HDMI?

I wrote 2016-02-09-raspbian-jessie image to SD card. it boots up. I use browser to watch youtube. but there is no sound.
