Re: SD card size RP3B+?

I wonder if some tried A2 types here. Since Linux would have a host driver built in similar to the ones used for SATA and M.2, and we are running an OS off of it. The difference would be if the Command Queuing and Cache would help it or not. Users have tested A2 cards. They perform the same as A1 c...

Re: Unzip ZIP BOMB Rpi4

DD command works, but doesn't always set up the partitions up and format them correctly on some media. DD has no concept of a "partition" nor does it know "how to set them up". The most likely cause of the zipfile warning is a corrupt file, one which is accepted on whatever soft...

Re: dead SD card

You want to decode the CSD, not CID, if you want the status of the write-protect bits.

https://goughlui.com/static/csdecode2.htm

edit: the card isn't reporting write-protect, which is a bit silly.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 VL805 firmware release 0138a1

If you stress the USB it fails faster. Try running the example rs-pose-and-image which will fetch the video streams and do nothing with them. With a RealSense d435 camera plugged in you can run the rs-depth example along side rs-pose. If you are running the pi with a desktop, you can recompile real...

Please don't cross post the same issue in two places. Github is the correct place to add information to any pre-existing bug reports.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 VL805 firmware release 0138a1

I've managed to get a missing interrupt exactly once (and it's not reoccurred since). I note that the test program(s) are only ever submitting one URB for the interrupt endpoint - this is bad practice, because if there is a significant delay in resubmitting the URB then you will miss at least one se...

Re: Pico crystal accuracy

Can you use a distributed clock from one Pico to the rest? XIN can be driven from CMOS levels, so some minor soldering to bypass the on-board oscillator means you can have synchronous behaviour across the entire network.

I haven't "built realsense2" because I don't know how to do that, and a Google search with reasonable terms resulted in hits for a lot of forum posts with conflicting information. You're going to have to elaborate a bit on your steps to reproduce the problem.

That's not the latest firmware. It's in rpi-update, not apt. Eventually the apt package will be updated to bump the firmware revision.

From the looks of it, Intel aren't supporting the camera any more: https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/issues/6362#issuecomment-697971303 . I'll add it to the list of devices to acquire, but if there is an interop issue there that can only be fixed in the camera firmware, then it's never ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 VL805 firmware release 0138a1

What happens if you
1. Boot the Pi 4 without the device connected
2. Run the command sudo setpci -s 01:00.0 0xd4.B=0x40
3. Plug the device in
4. Attempt to use it
?
Note that the command is runtime-only (meaning that if you reboot the Pi, you will need to repeat the steps above).

There seems to still be an issue with some part of the RPI4s USB stack, where high datarate devices lose packets. This seems to apply to devices with bInterval of 0 or 1.

https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/3259
Please post a full lsusb -v and lsusb -t of the device in question.

We don't re-sell BCM2835. Use a Compute Module 1 if you really have to use BCM2835 in a custom application. Otherwise, consider the Compute module 3 or 4 depending on your needs.

I would say that the display is faulty.

Responsibility for repair or replacement falls on the company you bought it from - you should check your local consumer rights regarding minimum guarantee periods for faulty goods (as you've not said what country you're in).
