The fix is simple:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install at-spi2-core

sudo apt-get install at-spi2-core
Yeah, I should have mentioned that, sorry - I found the same - the "Touch" doesn't work well, but "Mouse" works perfectlyphilkingmagpi wrote:Thanks for this. It worked for me, although I was getting double key presses until I switched the input method to Mouse (from Touch screen) in the Florence settings.
I haven't - I always need my mouse to minimize Florence - I haven't tried it for a while though - I must have another go.gnalbandian wrote:Hi, have you got it working with auto-hide option?
I cant make the keyboard pop-up when I click over a 'writing' layout
Florence is the "closest" I've found to that functionality. It does not pop up when you type but there is a persistent icon on the screen that you can use to show/hide the keyboard. I moved the icon to the bottom left corner of my screen, since the bottom left corner of almost everything doesn't have anything you need to click on.cappsie wrote: but what I need is the keyboard to pop up when I tap into a text field, as though I were clicking into that field.
Thanks! I'll give that a try.Zehel wrote:Florence is the "closest" I've found to that functionality. I hope that helps a little. I found Florence much easier to use than Matchbox because of the show/hide feature.

Hove wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2015 2:58 pmI just updated to Jessie and my touchscreen keyboard, florence (yes, that is what you need to apt-get) stopped working - touch a key and everything related to florence vanished off the screen.
The fix is simple:
THBAPSACode: Select all
