DMA RING size setting for odd numbers

Sat Sep 25, 2021 9:44 pm

Hello

I am using DMA to transfer and receive 3 bytes for each block

But the RING option only allows 1<<n values

Is ther a way to set the RING to an odd number of bytes, such as 3 bytes ?

Regards
TC

Not directly at least.

One ugly hack you could do is, have two DMA channels chained to each other, one with a ring size of 2, another with a ring size of 1, with the second writing its data right after the first one.

Return to “SDK”
