Standby Modes

Tue Nov 20, 2012 1:08 pm

Does anyone have any information about the Raspberry Pi in standby/suspend/sleep modes and how to get in them/what distribution?

Is there a pin interrupt on the GPIO that can be used to wake the Pi up?

Also any power consumption details in those states would be useful.

Many thanks

The Pi does not really have any concept of these modes - it is either on or off. However even in 'off' mode when plugged into the mains it still consumes some power. Whether any future revision of firmware may support one of these modes more elegantly I have no idea.
