I just made a mix of two tutorials found on the web:
http://www.algissalys.com/how-to/sickra ... vpi-part-2
and
http://www.htpcguides.com/install-sickr ... ian-linux/
and sickrage seems succesfully installed and working with the following comands from the first guide:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install git-core python-cheetah python-lxml python-pip python-dev git libssl-dev libxslt1-dev libxslt1.1 libxml2-dev libxml2 libssl-dev libffi-dev

Code: Select all

sudo pip install pyopenssl

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/SickRage/SickRage.git ~/.sickrage
if you have an instance still working on port 8081 ( I have motion working there for example ) search

Code: Select all

web_port = 8081
inside file

Code: Select all

/home/pi/.sickrage/config.ini
and change port value to a free one.
Then from the second tutorial the sickrage systemd script:
create a new file with

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/sickrage.service
and paste the following inside:

Code: Select all

[Unit]
Description=SickRage Daemon

[Service]
User=pi
Group=pi
Type=forking
GuessMainPID=no
ExecStart=/usr/bin/python /home/pi/.sickrage/SickBeard.py -q --daemon --nolaunch --datadir=/home/pi/.sickrage

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
then

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl enable sickrage.service
and

Code: Select all

sudo service sickrage start
now you should reach sickrage at

Code: Select all

http://<your-pi-ip>:port_number

These are actually the best instructions out there. Using systemd and cloning the sickrage repo to the home directory makes bypassing errors so much easier when it comes to permissions.
