Cheap Chinese HDMI to CSI-2 and audio

Sat Jul 04, 2020 10:32 am

Has anyone managed to get the i2s audio out of these boards? I tried to connect wfs, sck, sd, according to the instructions from the posts. When trying to record a sound using arecord, an input error is thrown.

AFAIK the I2S output doesn't work on any of the cheap TC358743XBG boards. I've got a couple different board designs and the serial data line on all of them doesn't work. It does work on the Auvidea boards.

6by9 confirms that these cheap boards don't have working I2S and to use a Auvidea B101.

More details in viewtopic.php?p=1680293#p1680293, but summary is that it is some design issue in those Chinese boards.
It is not an issue in the software as the Auvidea boards work fine.
